This has been a long overdue review. Me and my family visited in June. We were only in Stornoway for a few days and went twice!nnThe atmosphere and food were beyond incredible! Brilliant staff, massive shout out to Torcoll & Andy who made our evenings one to remember.nnBeing Gluten and Dairy free, it’s hard to find great food to select from and WOW! This did not disappoint! Wide selection and adaptions suited for us. The staff were incredible and helpful regarding this. If I ever visit Stornoway again, will absolutely be returning. Images are from both nights. Thank you HS-1!!
This is a very good cafe on the main street in Stornoway. Varied pub grub style menu with many locally sourced options. I had the fish and chips and they were excellent . Good service and the interior of the Cafe is very tastefull and comfortable. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Stornoway.
I had a lovely dinner at HS-1 Café Bar inside the Royal Hotel. The menu is simple but well done - I tried the special haddock fish & chips and it was excellent: fresh, crispy, and satisfying. For dessert, I ordered the strawberry sundae, which was generous enough to share between two people. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast, making the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot in Stornoway for a casual meal with quality food and welcoming staff.
Delightful diner. We ate here multiple times and food was always tasty. They close the kitchen from 4pm-5pm daily but you can stillnSit and leisurely watch the harbor with a cup of coffee. Very nice vibe & location.nThey get busy and you need to get a servers attention if you need something like ice cream!nPictured is the Fish of the day, Haddock in lemon butter sauce, green salad and chips. It was yummy
What a delightful discovery! My colleague amd I had dinner there and it was top notch! The calamari were excellent as was the coleslaw couldnt resist!. Andy couldnt have been more attentive. Great buzz and atmosphere too, though if youre looking for somewhere quiet go elsewhere. Highly recommended and if I get the lucky chance to come back here again for work, I will be definitely going straight here! Thank you!
