We went for Sunday lunch. Staff are friendly and efficient but food disappointed slightly. All the roasts we had seemed pretty much the same as each other shame there was no pork cracking or crispy chicken skin with simple vegetables and boiled as well as roast potatoes. It was expensive we felt compared to our local which does a fabulous roast for £2 less. However, the location is convenient in Elgin and the service is friendly so I’d give it another try if visiting again and try some other dishes on the menu.
I was in the annex which seemed quite new. Well appointed room. I would have liked to experience the rooms in the main building with more history. The staff were welcoming and the bar had a wide variety of whiskies as you would expect in this area. It is in a good location quite close to the centre of Elgin which has a good variety of independent shops, resturantes and bars. I didn't eat at the hotel apart from breakfast which was fine, you can choose what you want for a cooked breakfast including haggis, which was great. There were other options too.
Excellent hotel rooms more than adequate. Food very good all staff are very pleasant and friendly.
What a fantastic find.nnI'm sure everyone locally knows how good this place is, but it was a delight to experience the best food and service I've had in a very long time. I'm going to visit more often
Great venue for a wedding and the service and food was phenomenal, highly recommend
