Excellent pub brilliant staff awesome choice of well kept Ales lagers and other drinks. An excellent range of food at very good value with good sized portions too. A great range of cobs are available too. Best pub in the area by far you are always made to feel welcome. It would be worth booking ahead on the restaurant to get a table. Quiz night Tuesdays too, dogs welcome in the bar area. Well worth a visit.
Really surprised with how good the food is. I was expecting standard pub grub, the sort of stuff that's edible but you nothing to rave about. However, that wasn't the case here. Food was very well prepared and cooked, with generous portions. There is a good selection of traditional dishes, as well as some signature dishes. All at very reasonable prices. The eating area and pub were nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly
Fantastic pub, good selection of beers, friendly helpful staff. Varied menu of great British standards, and all of the items ordered by our party of 7 were excellent in both quality and quantity. Rest assured we will return at our earliest opportunity.
Fantastic food and service at The Horse & Jockey yesterday. The pub was extremely busy and the staff had full control ensuring everything ran smootly during the Christmas period which was nice too see. Nothing was too much to ask for. Will definitely be going back soon and highly recommend. Very impressed.
Popped in for the 1st time last Sunday following the review in the Express & Star. Both Tribute and Hobsons ales bang on, washing down a huge ham bap. The lounge was packed with all tables taken for food that looked and smelled delicious. The review was 100% right and I'll be back!
Like the pub and do like the food but wasn't very happy with the Christmas meal we had yesterday. Not enough turkey frozen veg and prawn cocktails wasn't brill either. Very small cheap prawns very disappointed.
Lovely pub. Food was lovely and could tell cooked fresh. Prices very reasonable and big portion sizes. Will definately visit again
What a gem. The pub was so busy, the staff was excellent, nothing to much trouble. Food was excellent, very reasonable prices.
Excellent Sunday Lunch. The service by 2 young Ladies,Was just over and above.Very attentertive and very engaging. 1 with glasses and a blonde young Lady. They made it a most Enjoyable time. Thank You.
