Understated Real Ale venue incl amusements. Warm friendly atmosphere. Well kept. Celtic typography upon signs offsets the flags. Please do not rush here rowdy crowd lovers... as I enjoy this place just as it is. First visit. Not my last. Bus route adjacent. Perfect escape from RDG Central.

This was once my local and the local of a dear mate. This is a pub, you walk in and you have a pint, bar billiards is always there too. You should not need anything more than that.
This place I found for the first time a few years ago as part of the first Reading Ale Trail. It's a pub with a great atmosphere, the staff are welcoming and friendly; the beer is very well kept and delicious. A hidden gem worthy of a visit.
Good little pub, plus in the ladies toilets that free sanitry products which is amazing
