Ayla made us all feel so comfortable. It made engaging in the activities so easy, safe and most importantly fun. And the activities each week were really diverse and creative. The laughter was an added bonus!!
Online course review. I loved my beginner's course with Hoopla!! It was so much fun, and I looked forward to it each week. Stephen is a very warm and enthusiastic teacher. I had been nervous before starting as I've never done anything like this before, but the games and build up were very gentle so there was nothing to be worried about. I will definitely be doing the Level 2 course when I am able to. Thank you
I am now on level 3 and loving it. Hoopla had become such an important part of my life. I have met some brilliant people in all 3 classes - we are still meeting! Chris is one of the best facilitators I have ever met. He works hard to create a safe space whilst also challenging us to do new things.
I enjoyed everything. Conor was an amazing teacher. He explained things well, gave good feedback to maximise our learning and enjoyment, demonstrated / gave fantastic examples and managed the time and energy every week to the max. He made it so enjoyable. I took level 1 with him online and would love him to be my teacher on level 3 too. Really rate him as a teacher. Thank you!
I have done a couple of classes with Hoopla and I have learnt so much. I really enjoyed learning how to create a scene and all the different things you can use to get into it : Character, emotion, action etc . The whole experience was very supporting and encouraging. I definitely feel I have made breakthroughs in building my confidence in performing and engaging with that side of things again. I have a new love for Improv , I feel a more playful energy has begun to come back to me. I recently did the level 4 class and I actually managed to do the show at the end! I felt so safe and supported in the class and when doing the show . I am going to keep going and doing more, as I am really enjoying it.
Having heard about and seen so much on the TV. It was great to actually explore improv. Maeve was adept at bringing in her acting training to ground us and use character exercises to get rid of shyness or hesitancy, this allowed people to take greater creative risks and have fun - I laughed a lot!. She's an exceptional teacher and I couldn't have asked for a better person to introduce me to the improv world.
Just finished level 1 improv and really enjoyed it! I was kind of nervous going into it but so glad I did it. Met some great people and now signed up for level 2.
I did two Parkprov workshops characters and scenes with Liam a few weeks ago. In the arid yellow wasteland of Regent's park, Liam and the other course participants were an oasis of joy, fun and energy. Liam is a brilliant teacher, one of the best I have met in about 10 years of improv. He is precise without being pedantic, spontaneous yet structured, an authority in his topic yet never pompous. No blah blah, but so many new lessons. By the end of the afternoon, I had been a fork, a lizard, a teacher with big dreams, and a raging widow, among many other things. I was thoroughly entertained by the scenes Liam managed to get out of us all and I laughed more than I have in months. So tremendously refreshing! Ill be back as soon as I can.
Have had a great experience with both the improv and standup courses. Met so many great people. The improv teacher who I've had for a few courses Chris is brilliant as he is very supportive and energetic. The class gelled well from week one so that made it even more enjoyable. The improv games were fun, and are a great way to improve your confidence and make you overthink less. Everyone in my class enjoyed the final show that we got to perform in.
The Beginners Improv course was very uplifting, to use your body and mind in ways I haven't since childhood. I met so many fun people. I enjoyed the freedom of just doing and not being overly cerebral. Also learning to hold and create space for others to share, and trusting other people in the group to create together. I really enjoyed it, and gained a lot from the experience.
