Had so much fun. Great MC, great laughs of all 4 comedians. A short break in between to get a drink. They involved the crowds a lot. If you arrive early, you can sit at the front, arrive later and you’re more in the back. We were amazed by the amount of people that fit in that small room. We sat on the right, where the stage goes slightly up, so great view anyway! There’s a nice pub across the street where you can hang out before and after
Went for my first time yesterday to the Sunday late show to celebrate my 18th birthday with a group of friends. Had an amazing night with each comedian being hilarious. Really good atmosphere in the room and the prices at the bar and for entry were amazing makes it a great night out for students. Everyone had an amazing time, couldn’t recommend more.
Staff are great, venue is great. It gets hot, so be prepared but the atmosphere is worth it. While the underground room does not have wheelchair access, I did ask and was informed there is a second room that does have access. I didn't go looking myself cause I was too lazy, so it's probably worth calling ahead to make sure. Overall, I had a great night. Everybody was lovely and as accommodating as they could be. I felt very comfortable that should I need help, anybody would help. Will definitely be back next time I'm in London.
I'd keep this place a secret but it clearly isn't. The queues were forming every night and the shows were often sold out. Thankfully I managed to get into 2 shows which were both fantastic! It's good fun and even though I'm not British, i understood the humour and found them very clever. The hosts of both shows were also very good and engaging and clearly warmed the crowd up enough to set the acts up for suvcrss for both the evenings. Come and let your hair down. Oh and order a beer to go with the show! It helps!
Had wonderful cracking times whenever we were here, awesome line ups and crowd. Great that they made it inclusive for all - some shows were free or at least £1 to democratise comedy for all. Definitely will come back whenever im in London!
This place is great. It’s one of the best comedy clubs in the UK. Every time I’ve been, they have had an insanely talented line up of hilarious local and international comedians. I love the size and layout. Once, I took my friend who claimed ‘she’s not into stand-up comedy’ here, and she ended up laughing so much and became a big stand-up comedy fan after. This place has become a staple for a great night out.
Fantastic!!! Attended the Sunday evening show, in all honesty wasnt expecting a great deal for the £1 ticket price but boy was I wrong. Six really great varied comics and a hilarious MC, place was a little spit n sawdust but that just added to the charm. Very reasonably priced bar too. Will definitely be back next time we are in London!
Would give zero stars if able. No warning that doors close at 7.30pm are strict. Would happily take your money and let other people enter even though they arrived after us. Subsequently they explained they are full which means they sell tickets way beyond their actual capacity. Absolutely ridiculous and a downer to end what was a fabulous trip in London. Never seen such behaviour at comedy clubs in New York.
Worst comedy club experience. They should say that the tickets are £12, which I normally happy to pay for a comedy show. But the way they do it, is really bad. The guy started the show saying we don't charge much for tickets and we rely on donations so we just lock you in and don't let you leave till you pay. This was actually not a joke. They blocked the way out, and the donation is forced, making everyone feel super uncomfortable. Even at the end of the show, he spent ages explaining how much money people should give and that noone should leave without paying. And he actually called people out as we were leaving. I've never felt so uncomfortable, and will definitely avoid this place in the future. This is not fair and they should advertise this honestly.
Great establishment in central london for a range of different stand-up comedy, from new material, up & coming artists, to established comedians, you can get it all here! A lovely crowd in attendance usually, make sure to book online or risk being turned away as it sells out frequently. If you donate £12-15 on the night, you obtain free entry for a year so would highly recommend that!
