A historically important church; this is where the "Clapham Sect" led by William Wilberforce and Henry Thornton met.  Their campaigning led to the Slave Trade Act in 1807, which banned the trade throughout the British Empire.

A wonderful church in the heart of an amazing park. If you ever visit Clapham in London dont miss it!!!

Welcoming and inclusive with great Biblical teaching

Completed in 1776 coinciding with American Declaration of Independence. Indelibly associated with 'The Clapham Sect', the abolition of slavery movement and a subsequent history at the forefront promoting and pursuing humanitarian causes. An active community here.

Lovely old church on Clapham common, always walked past but sister's wedding changed that  worth a visit.
