A fun experience initially. We even complimented the staff that were on that Saturday. We kept most of our items but Smiffys wigs do not fit well at all!!! One was £5.99 and mine was £17?! Both poor quality. But I needed to return my one due to it not even fitting the top of head. Very misleading on the packet. As for adult but more for a small child?! I tried to return it and got snapped at by the lady with a very rude manner. Absolutely no budge on returning it. Even though I purchased only 24 hours ago and with same packaging and receipt?! This is not the end!! I assure you!! Was zero mention that you cannot return wigs for hygiene purposes when we bought it!!  None whatsoever!! So be warned!!! Very disappointed with the attitude of the girl behind the desk.

Really happy with my Halloween costume for 2022. I didn't receive an email confirmation so I would recommend screenshotting your order number when buying on Hollywood Fancy Dress' website. I contacted the helpdesk/live chat on their website and they provided a tracking number. I received my items four days after purchase and really pleased. Thank you for the swift delivery

Very rude and inconsiderate. I'd avoid.  Purchased a fancy dress outfit and accessories which I wasn't allowed to try on but the lady in the shop held up next to me and assured us it would fit for my son's 5th birthday. Due to the extreme heat and safety concerns his party got changed and we held a pool party instead wouldn't have been safe to have children and adults overheating in costume. The costume was obviously not needed and we attempted to return still in the packet and untouched!  My partner was met by a rude lady who simply refused even after an explanation and could see the bag hadn't been opened!  I'm all for supporting local shops but you have lost another customer to Amazon. If you can't compete on price at least offer a good service. Very poor!

So much choice and they even remained open a good 45 minutes after closing time to cater to those who finish work late. I got what I was looking for but can't help think if they stocked squid game attire they would make an absolute fortune, unfortunately they do not so I'm going as a gangster instead of a pink soldier

Incredible range of costumes and all the accessories. It's like a tardis! Staff really patient and sorted my 3yr old and 2 5yr olds with ease.... Fireworks also worth a look if you like to put on your own displays

Drove all the way across town to visit the store, only to be told card payments are not accepted below £5. Probably the only place that still does it. This is why people turn to online shopping

Ordered some england stuff for the final euros, managed to order online the night before, they rang me when they had prepared the order and was ready to be collected. Friendly staff and very welcoming. I love this shop

I bought a Halloween fancy dress outfit. Not allowed to try it on. Took it back 2 days later to exchange for an item £10 less. They refused to refund the difference and only issue credit notes. The credit note they limited for 9 weeks. What a silly shop with out of date business practices where I will never shop again. They blagged ten quid and got a one star review while I was sat in the car outside. Unbelievable.
