Great place to catch a break away from it all. Stunning field views, great walkways, and amazing foliage. As a Canadian missing the wilderness of home, this definitely quelled a bit of home sickness and gave me some peace.
First visit today despite driving past it for years. Car park needs to be bigger. There are parking charges but these are quite reasonable. There is a good children's play area that is fenced off separately. The woods are extensive and have many hard and soft tracks. Very popular with walkers,dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

Always love hockey woods. Free parking on Sunday. Takes an hour to walk around the woods following the yellow arrows.
It's a lovely area to walk round the woods All Pathways. Great for dog walkers
was a lovely day out and its wheel chair accessibility is perfect for those with the badge, lots of happy people there, never any trouble and the best part is the toilets being inside the park, is very handy for little ones, food van there is expensive so bring a bank card, other than that a great park!
Love this forest for a walk. Toilets and great and not as bad as I've seen. The only problem is the amount of pot holes in the car park. It's such a shame we worry to damage our car when we go. But other than that, best park on the area! Absolutely love it!
Haven't been here in over 20 years it's changed a lot over time but still nice to get out into nature.
Great forest. Well laid out with wide footpaths. Ideal for families. Nice play area with selection of swings etc
Lovely place to go and walk. Parking was good as the ticket was only 50p for about 2hours and an ice cream van was also present. There are multiple different routes to walk in the woods, as well as open fields and an area for families/children. Was not very busy; nice and peaceful. Will definitely go back.
