The Hobgoblin was as great as the name. Great security guard on the night. The staff were friendly great atmosphere for a drink and a dance on a Saturday night. The DJ on the night, Bucky; played some epic tunes and was really approachable. Made the atmosphere even better. Drinks are a good price with the deals. Us to top it off I left my laptop in its case that night. The staff kept it safe til I collected it Monday morning afternoon when the opened. 👌 👌 👌

Everytime I've been there in the last few years the staff seem to have this attitude, maybe they're over worked but they give off this 'too cool for school' thing. The pub has a very large garden bit which is the best bit. Inside is dark and tired looking. Gents toilet are really awful and have been for about 20 years now. It's a place that reviles in the fact it's a bit rough around the edges. I wouldn't dare eat there. Very popular with students.

Standard student pub. Reasonable prices and large heated area out back. A worthy starting point of a night out. Gets pretty busy at peak times.

Great place for students. They do 99p shots on Tuesday and they do student deals. Beer garden is nice too

Cheap and it looks amazing, by far the best pub in Brighton and the best pub I've ever been in, world class dough balls, fantastic deals and outstanding beer garden. It's not worth sitting in door even when it's snowing outside thanks to the heated beer garden. Worth a visit 100%
