Coffee is good. Bread is great. But why would you bother when marks bread is just up the rd which is the best bakers I've ever come across....oh as trendy as sin and a small fortune :)

I think the bread here is too expensive. Hobbs House Bakery supply the organic grocer Better Food Company's shops with bread in Bristol & it's cheaper there than in their own shop by a good 10+%. Also I don't think paying over £4 per large loaf is necessary in North St when we gave Mark's Bakery 300 yards down the road. I had a hot chocolate & croissant on this visit. It wasn't good, it wasn't bad....meh. ....

Go for coffee but until they sort out the kitchen don't go for hot food. 35 minute+ wait for a bacon sandwich - it was nice but ......and I wasn't the only one that waited far too long for basic cafe style food. There were plenty of staff so no idea what the problem was. For me the overall style and atmosphere was all a bit too aspirational and I found the basic concept a bit confused: cafe? coffee shop? bakers? There are places on North St that have got that bit sorted.... So, I'll give it another go in a week or so but for now it's just another coffee shop type thing on North St.

Nice tea/coffee and cakes (plus the excellent bread). But staff turnover high and service a bit random. A return arm on the front door would be nice...)

It was very pleasant. There is more space than I expected and the cakes are very good.
