Hinnies is a local restaurant overlooking Whitley Bay Promenade and provides meals from brunch to Sunday lunch. Myself and family have visited on a number of occasions and always found the food and drink provided to be of good quality. There is varied menu with mix of local variations and standard options - as well as a children's menu. Staff are well trained, friendly and attentive, but there have been a few occasions on which we had extended wait times for food, but this is generally by exception and appeared to be a problem with kitchen service. This is an ideal location to go for a family get together or special occasion in a relaxed and friendly environment. I'd recommend this as a place to visit.

Lovely restaurant. We went for the early evening special menu and it was terrific value for money. Food fantastic and lovely wine. Brilliant service. Would definitely return 😁😁😁😁😁

Heard great things about Hinnies, but just got round myself to trying it. Loved it! Well worth the visit. Gorgeous good, lovely vibe and wonderful staff. There wasn't anything I had that I didn't like! I had the corner beef panacalty (a layered potato and cheese dish - not entirely dissimilar to dauphinoise potato, with cheese instead of cream) - loved it!

Foods good, staff are friendly and the seaside location is perfect. Been back a few times for breakfast which is really nice. Good wine selection too

Absolutely love this place. I've been twice and had the same meal both times because it was totally delicious. I highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Salted Caramel Sauce and Banana Ice-Cream.
