Gotta say we were really delighted & surprised at how good was the pizza here! The housemade gluten free crust was one of the best ever! Lovely, friendly and helpful staff and a clean, buzzing location. I loved the blue cheese on my Spicy N’duja pizza. So much flavour! Recommended and not a tourist trap.
Wy wife had visited Whitley bay so often with work, and was advised to visit di Meos .She loved it that much , she decided to bring me. As we were on a bit of a foodie weekend. We opted to share a pizza and the parmesan and garlic fries .Wow did they hit the spot. ? NOT HALF !!! The pizza so light and airy , and so crisp, just like I love it Could I have eaten it to myself yes but that would have been greedy !!! I did manage room for the best gelato Ive had outside of Tuscany and i couldnt decide which scoops to have so i opted for 3 !!
W went for a birthday celebration. Excellent service and lovely pizzas followed by their own delicious ice cream. A bit strange that there's no table service and you have to go downstairs to order at the counter.
Love this place. We're fairly new to the area but they're always busy for both pizza and ice cream but somehow also very quick which is brilliant as each time I've been I've been under pressure to get home as quick as possible with food to wife and small child!nnGood selection of pizzas and they had 3 ready in under 15 minutes from ordering tonight and they were pipping hot.nnI also would like to mention that each time I've been in here your staff all have a smile on their faces and seem to be genuinely enjoying working there and serving your customers and also enjoying each others company.nnThe team here are a credit to the business and it looks like a fun place to work.
If you ever tried Cannoli in Sicily then do your self a favour and skip this place.nnCannoli they sell has nothing to do with original Sicilian recipe, this is flavourless - apart of pistachio all taste the same … sugar and toffee, no ricotta in it, and cake tube is like marshmallow glue dough with some nuts.nI would call it variation of what person creating it saw on the picture and never tasted it in original before creating it.nnI understand that they also do pizza, pasta and ice cream which we have not tasted, therefore no opinion on that and those could be nice as looked good.nnOur review is based only on Cannoli they sell and on taste of Cannoli we know from Sicily.
