Love our lodge. Well equipped, deluxe lodges are of generous size. Home away from home. It can be cold during winter (and winter is not short in Aviemore). You will have to either keep the heating pumping (can be expensive in the end as utilities are charged on usage, and everything runs on electricity) or put jumpers on even indoors. Recommend packing a pair of warm slippers in your luggage - both the classic and the deluxe lodges are on the cold side for the feet in winter! As a lodge guest you can also use the hotel's facilities. The pools are warm, great for children. And we love the Woodshed Bar!

Excellent place for walking and cycling. Lodges are all well appointed and equipped. Hotel facilities nearby also good for food and entertainment. Swimming pool in need of upgrading.

Rented a classic Chalet for a week in Nov. Electric is not included in the rental. Since all utilities run on electric..inc heating..you can run up a juicy bill over the winter months during ur stay. In 2 days we only had heating on in the living area and one bedroom for 4 hrs each night..bill was £27. This figure was also including running the washing machine for one wash..and using the oven twice. During the day..the house was very cold. My advice...stay away from the older accomodation. We were supposed to stay 7 days..we left after 2 days. Rest of hotel was fine.
