Should you have a reservation for the MacDonald Strathspey hotel, you need some luck to find the place. Your GPS most probably ignore that name or drive you to a wrong address. Should you phone you'll hear that the building can be found easily entering the MacDonald resort. Once there you won't be distracted by any direction panels although there are plenty of various building and several hotels among them. Once you have explored one by one the building and found yours, don't count on finding someone welcoming you at the check-in desk. It's trendy nowday to put the client in the middle of the relationship, but it's obvious Aviemore on the communication roads. The resort would improve a lot by getting counseling on that field. Or onboarding competent management.
Sad too see most places in the resort closed at 18.00 and pool closes at 20.00 ..remember when this was the place to go but not now it seems sad as it's a great idea
Stayed in the strathspey and was electrocuted by a faulty iron that was in use in the room with a failed pat test sticker on it exposed wire at the iron end which in turn caused me to be electrocuted due to negligence be aware
For a MacDonald hotel it's not up to standard. The staff on the other hand are fantastic.
