The Receptionist at Higham is very friendly, helpful and always smiles. She treats everyone, either via phone or in person, with total respect.nnMy dentist, Arvinder, and her assistant are the best. She explained the procedure and constantly checked on me. The procedure went by quickly with no complications.nThank you Everyone.
I would give this practice 0 stars if I could. This practice discriminates against patients with disabilities. Period. There have been numerous incidents now over the past 8yrs registered with them. But with no dentists in the area taking new NHS patients we were stuck here!nnWe are a disabled family with complex medical needs. Again all on record and our needs and difficulties explained over and over..nnThis practice removed me from the NHS care after having to reschedule my appointments - these were done in good time to be offered to other patients and a new apt arranged at the same time. I have spinal damage and can't always sit in the chair, chronic pain, a neck brace, impaired mobility and also being a carer to 3 disabled daughters apparently this is not a valid reason to reschedule appointments, and thus they removed me from thier list by sending an email with a list of other dentists in the area to go register with!nnMy SEN daughter was in considerable pain an was told no appointments. My daughter had had cardiac issues only a few days ago and an ambulance, now with dental pain she was very distressed!nHigham reception team despite this information did not offer an emergency appointment and said nothing until end of June. No help of advice was given other than to go private.nnIn desperation to help my daughter I rang another MY DENTIST in Rushden to see if they could make an exceptional circumstance to see her. I took this to the practice manager who was also temporarily managing Higham, who found multiple appointments available and was confused as to why I was told otherwise and treated this way. The reception team had clearly lied, I suspect either forcing patients to go private to make money or just complete disability discrimination!nnThankfully the practice manager at the other My Dentist not only apologised but moved us all to the other practice, so we do not get treated like this again! The reception team at the new surgery are AMAZING and they fitted my daughter in the very next day.nnI am so relieved as the NHS dentist here at Higham doesn't have the right attitude or care for her patients, especially those with additional needs. All of us were beginning to develop dental anxiety due to the way care was delivered.nnAt the other practice in Rushden I have left a 5 star review for them! In contrast they were amazing, they actually spoke to my SEN daughter - not at her, they were warm, welcoming and listened to our difficulties. The dental nurses actually seem happy, unlike Higham! The atmosphere is entirely different!nNot all practices are the same clearly!nnHigham is somber, negative and discriminate. I would not recommend this Higham practice for any NHS patients, or anyone with additional needs. They need training in disability awareness, safeguarding adults at risk and general manners for when communicating with the public.
Once again incredible service. I had a hygienist and dental appointment, they were both completely pain free, on time, professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
Dr Arvinder is amazing, ive had experiences before which have put me off dentists but shes fantastic, makes me comfortable, has a laugh with you, dental assistants are great everytime too.
My 4 girls visited today for the 1st time at this dentist. The staff were very patient with them all and very good with them.
