Dentist here always seems in a rush and appointments are often quite late. Doesn’t explain procedures and the benefits of them thoroughly. Which caused myself to feel pressured into having a filling on top of my canine tooth which I thought I didn’t need as I didn’t feel I’ve been given a choice. Then when I had my teeth ‘cleaned’ the whole thing took less than a minute which is quite shocking and not thorough. Dentist just said they’re gonna do a filling for me. Didn’t have enough time to ask questions about it as it was all rushed to get it started quickly, which ended up me going back to get it taken off the same day. When I asked what the filling is the dentist responded to me: It’s just a filling and when I asked what benefits would I have from it she only responded that it will help me and then rushed into getting it done for me. I never had one before so I was quite anxious about how it’s done, what it is and what for. I felt like I shouldn’t of been asking questions about it and that I need to just get on with it as they were waiting to start the procedure. When I came back to get it removed, there was no questions asked, I wanted to discuss it, but the dentist didn’t seem to have time for me again and just just removed it and still now I don’t even know why I needed a filling! Nothing was explained thoroughly and felt like I didn’t have much choice. Although it’s also my fault as I should have just said no I felt really pressurised and rushed into it. However the receptionists are very nice.
I had seen ranya for a broken tooth. She had provided me thorough examinations and options to save my tooth. She and her assistant were very kind and welcoming as well as the other staff members. I was made to feel very comfortable throughout the appointment and I’m very happy I had found this dentist through my colleague.
My Dentist is always kind, caring and patient. She always explains the treatment plan before starting and makes me feel as comfortable as possible considering how most people feel about having work done at the dentist! She will always make sure I am okay throughout the procedure also. Thankyou as always for looking after my teeth :
I have usually been a very nervous patient at a dentist due to traumatic experiences as a child, however the find the staff here are amazing and make you feel very relaxed. Todays experience was possibly the best experience I’ve ever had. The dentist was gentle and talked me through everything and listened to any concerns I had. My experience has made me feel less anxious about having to go to the dentist in future. I absolutely recommend these guys 100%
Very good treatment & lovely staff. Would highly recommend the surgery. My only holdback with not giving 5 stars is that even having a 9.00am appointment, reception staff have not set up on my arrival and I have had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes before being seen. This is quite frustrating for the first appointment of the day. This is only a minor concern, but never the less, improving this would enhance the customer experience.
Have visited Spinney Brook Dental Practice on 4 occasions. Each time, I have been impressed with the level of care given. From the excellent Reception Staff,to the Dentists themselves, any patient can be assured of a 5 *****Star service.
Great first time visit for my 1yr old, my husband and I. The practice is nice, clean and fresh, the receptionist was welcoming and friendly and the dentist was brilliant. Really calming and reassuring for someone who gets nervous at the dentist, very efficient and friendly.
Visited Spinney Brook Dental practice after many years of not visiting a dentist due to being terrified of them I decided I needed help with my bad teeth, was immediately put at ease by the reception girls. Still feeling apprehensive was soon in the chair being examined by Ranya Mohamed and her dental assistant, after examination and x-rays come up with a proposed dental plan to bring my smile back to my face. Not gonna be a quick fix but the first step has been made. Huge thank you to all the staff at Spinney Brook in particular a massive thank you to Ranya see you all again soon
So far, I've only had an initial check-up, an x-ray, and a fairly hefty back tooth filling,with plenty more required! I explained my issue with the 'injection' part of dental treatment, and can only relay my relief at how my dentist at Spinney Brook handled it. I am eternally relieved to be back in the NHS dental system, but at the same time apprehensive as to how long I may benefit from that situation. I will, however, be eternally grateful for the gentle and communicative chair-side manner portrayed my young and empathetic dentist. I fear that she may well run the course of the necessary NHS experience route before ending up in private practice; however, in the same situation I would do the same. The level of skill involved in dentistry is way under-funded by the NHS. It's clearly a case of 'Don't hate the player, hate the game'. This is a game of politics, not Dentistry. So far; Spinney Brook Dental; 10/10. I'm happy to answer questions if that's an option, or even relevant in this situation
Really friendly team, efficient but felt like my teeth were barely touched on most recent visit. £23 for a 90 second appointment, no cleaning offered, no rinse - all okay thankfully, but felt very rushed. Similar for my two children.
