Pros- Friendly staff, plenty of parking, walking distance to town and amenities.nnCons- the room was dirty, stains on walls and carpet, cobwebs in the bathroom, windows were grimey. Also, staff and/or guests kept slamming doors and marching up and down the stairwells, loud talking coming from somewhere on ground floor, poor Internet connection in the room as it stopped working on the roku and our phones were never able to connect.nnVery disappointed with this hotel, especially because the reviews from just a month ago were so positive.
The property was close to all amenities, parking is free but on a first come first serve basis. Check in starts from 2:30pm onwards. The staff are good and the checkin was quick. The hotel is very clean. The room we stayed in was a standard double room small but clean. The heating in the room was not working but we did have a portable heater in the room which kept the room very warm. Hotel is good if you’re having a short stay. There is tea and coffee making facilities available in the room along with kettle and some biscuits and chocolates.
Hotel on the outside don't look great, but inside wow it was lovely,the young lad on reception was polite and friendly. And the room was beautiful bed was comfy. Lovely and quite place well worth a visit I will defo be booking again.
What a great location. Room was lovely, great size and the view was stunning looking over the mountain view. Ideal for walking to Matlock and Matlock Bath. Staff were friendly and the prices at the bar were reasonable. Had a lovely relaxing stay.
Lovely hotel, room was a little dusty but can't be helped bed was comfortable to sleep on was at front of hotel so heard majority of the traffic which again can't be helped , owner was pleasant and friendly will be booking again , close to matlock and matlock bath if you like a good walk! X
