UTTERLY ABYSMAL My partner works for a major UK business and she had a car delivered to my address as she was at work. Unfortunately, it's against company policy to let her publicly complain but that does not apply to me! I don't know if the whole of Hertz is this poor but, this is my experience with Hertz, Ipswich (Wherstead Road Branch.) The car was to be delivered 14/03/18 at 16:30 but they arrived four hours early, at 12:30, with an un-valeted, dirty and beaten up vehicle. This interrupted my own work but, insult was added to injury, when I asked the driver what would have happened if I was not there and he nonchalantly said "you'd have to pick it up mate", even though they were paid £9.50 for that delivery! They were paid another £9.50 to collect it on 16/03/18 and also took an extra £20.00 for an 'Out of Hours' collection at 20:30, but the driver said that wouldn't happen as no one was around then and they would probably come and get it on Monday 19th! My partner called to confirm collection and they said that they couldn't do the 20:30 but would pick up after 14:30 on Saturday the 17th (after a lot of grumbling and pointed comments about getting his wife to help!) Guess what? They didn't come and its now 14:18 on Sunday the 18th. My bet is that they'll turn up some time tomorrow, Monday 19th (just as the driver said) and still expect to get the £20.00 'Out of Hours'! Awful customer service and dreadful reliability!

What a well organised, slick and very efficient way of hiring your van. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped me out with some logistics headaches and setting me up with a single days hire even though it was a Saturday pick up and Monday morning delivery back to them. I needed a van on a Sunday but the website would not let me do this. Being the closest branch of Hertz I went and saw these people and I am so glad I did - the best price for sure. I would highly recommend this polite, friendly and true family business.
