I recently visited Heaton Park and had an absolutely delightful experience. This sprawling park offers a myriad of activities and areas to explore, making it a perfect destination for everyone. It has a boating lake and a well-maintained golf course. Animal lovers will appreciate the small collection of animals, which adds an extra charm to the park. Picnic areas abound, providing plenty of spots to relax and enjoy a meal outdoors. If you're not in the mood to bring your own food, there’s a lovely café and several ice cream vans throughout the park, offering a variety of treats and refreshments. Kids are sure to have a blast with the numerous play areas. Parking is convenient with several lots located around the park, allowing you to park close to the area you intend to explore. Overall, Heaton Park exudes a peaceful and calm atmosphere, making it a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Beautiful accessible park. Lovely beautiful landscapes. Inclusive park at the top of the hill. Beautiful duck pond at the bottom. Well maintained, and clean cafe and seating area. Plenty of ice cream vans. We didn’t get to see the animals as we visited after the animal area had closed, but anybody could easily spend at least a good half a day in this stunning park. For our family the only let down was not having a suitable place to change our teenagers incontinence pad Playground: Clean, tidy, well maintain, up to date, and accessible. Restrooms: The toilet were not spotless, but they were clean which is an achievement on such a busy summer day. Dog-friendliness: There was dogs being walked on some of the more grassy areas of the park. Not near the play areas and on the opposite side of the fence to the footpaths. The area looking tidy and clean. Picnic area: Clean tidy picnic bench’s and seating areas.
Went on the Dinosaur trail last week at Heaton park. Well organised, had a fantastic day. There was a range of stalls for entertainment. The main car park and the overflow car park was reasonably priced, for a day it was £3.50. The toilet facilities were good. The park is massive and would suit all families. Great place. Thank you. Playground: Great but very busy. Restrooms: Clean and functional Picnic area: Loads of space everywhere
This was my first visit with my grandson. There was lots to do and beautiful grounds to walk around. It's fantastic that the animals and parks are free. A great way to tire out children during the holidays.
Absolutely wonderful to stroll around on a hot day and just enjoy yourself. Some of the food and drinks can be expensive but still well worth the visit. Lots of things to do.
Nice day out. There is a lot to do if the weather is nice. Boat should be booked in advance, no payments allowed on the place. Tram is nice to visit. There is also tram museum with a shop.
A very large public park in Manchester, maintained by Bury Council, is one of the largest public parks in all of Europe. There are so many fun activities for kids to enjoy and lots of open areas for a walk. Good place to spend with family, especially in spring and summer. There are refreshment areas and public toilets that are well maintained. There is a lake where boating is provided. There is an animal farm associated with the park, and one can sight many farm animals Playground: Large open spaces, kids park toys Restrooms: Well maintained ang hygienic Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, your dogs will enjoy open space
Lovely park disabled friendly with a few slopes here and there 3 cafes to choose from beautiful boating lake , animal enclosure , play area lots of open space all free but you have to pay to park unless you have a blue badge great place for a picnic on a nice day ,note the tram only runs on a weekend so we didn't see that and the hall is permanently closed
Lovely place to visit. There is always something going on in the park. There is plenty of car parks around. Kids can play around. Ice cream van with lovely ice creams. Kids had fun
