We ate here 2 evenings last week whilst staying at the nearby hotel. What a find! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food is 'standard fare', but the quality was exceptional. Portion sizes are generous, and I was amazed at how quickly it was served. There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere, and the decor is stylish. The new owners have an eye for detail and have 'aced' the atmosphere and hospitality side of the business, but it's ultimately the kitchen that steels the show. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the conversations with the owners and staff.
An utterly pleasant experience. The lunch menu is a bit limited but diverse. Lasagna, ham egg and chips, fish cake, steak and ale pie were some of the offerings. Service was exceptional, food came quick but not too quick. The food was good. We are looking forward to coming back.
First time at The Heart in Hand and we were not disappointed: great food, reasonably priced, clean restaurant, great atmosphere and really friendly staff. We visited with my 80 year old mother in law and I was reluctant to sit outside so, despite being fully booked, they managed to accommodate us inside, which was really appreciated. Will definitely go back.
My Wife and two American visitors,had four different dishes and all were very good and plentiful. Go's to show if you have a short menu, you get quality food.... well done Team. Will visit again for sure, but as a real ale fanatic I was a little bit disappointed at the choice of beer, but I'm being picky here. Food again was excellent.
Stopped by whilst on a walk. Managed to squeeze us in and we had a lovely meal by the fire. One of if not THE best steaks I've ever had. Staff were so lovely! Definitely will be coming back.
This place is amazing I feel like I want to keep going back to try everything on the menu. Yesterday we had lunch, a toasted cheese sandwich, a plain cheese sandwich and a very delicious ham & tomato sandwich with tiger bread. Look at the ham in that sandwich and these all came with fries, and these are probably the best fries I’ve tried in a long time too tbh. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t already. Make it a working lunch like we did very reasonable prices and even better when your boss pays Perfect
What a find! Only discovered this fab pub when our friends moved into the village. Food is lovely, tasty, hot, well cooked and reasonably priced. The staff are really well trained and very good. I'm not a fan of Sunday lunch but here it is amazing. Lovely chicken skewers on Friday night with one left over for Saturday lunch!. The Heart in Hand is becoming our new local, thank you!

We travelled from Bristol for a birthday celebration this Sunday and it was one of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long time, Darren and his team provided friendly and efficient service. Wholly recommended.Food: 5/5
