Lovely little campsite. Toilet block was being upgraded as we were there and is looking good. Cafe and shop on site left providing staples. Can be a little muddy in wet weather.

We recently got stranded by the snow in an air b n b near Hayles fruit farm. The farm tea room was a godsend, the chef is wonderful, seriously the scrambled eggs on toast is actually the nicest I've ever had with no exaggeration. The toast it was served on was malty and delicious, turns out it is made with Spelt, which they sold loaves of in the farm shop, so we walked away with all the remaining loaves in stock. The home made Shepherds Pie was delicious as was the totally boneless Plaice. We spent a while talking to the owner who runs the farm who couldn't have been more helpful and easy to chat to. Nice bunch of folk!

Just got back from a weekend away with a friend. £8 a night per adult in the camper. Fantastic showers. The best part of this place is the people! They couldn't do enough for us as baby stepped us through choosing food when we were too hungry to think straight. Chef even fired up the BBQ to do the chicken skewer I fancied. We went fruit picking this morning and the fruit is exceptional. We'll be back! Thank you 😊
