We stopped by for a weekday lunch. The pub is full of character with plenty of interesting corners and atmosphere.nStaff were very pleasant and attentive. The menu had a lovely selection for us, choosing a fish course and salad from the daily specials, which were both fresh and delicious.
We enjoyed a really nice evening meal in your restaurant. Great food, well priced and excellent service with a lovely ambience. Location couldn’t have been better as only a few minutes walk from our B&B. We returned the following afternoon to spend an hour or so in your fabulous outside seating garden area.
A beautiful pub with stunning rooms. The flower and fairy light filled beer garden is really welcoming. Service and food was incredible - staff are friendly, approachable, considerate and helpful. I accidentally left a bouquet of flowers in my room then realised it was the perfect way to thank the staff. I hope they were found and enjoyed!
I was totally blown away with the service we received at the inn and restaurant! It surpassed my expectation in all areas. The room, the Oakley, was absolutely beautiful. The decor throughout the entire inn was beautiful. The fabrics were high-end and the service was the same. The food is great! We had breakfast and dinner twice. You will not be disappointed. The only drawback was we arrived on Sunday and Monday was a bank holiday, so none of the shops in town were open.
Had a great stay at the Lion Inn. Our room was brilliant. The service was great, especially the lady serving at breakfast, I can’t remember the name but her daughters also worked there. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.
