Met a friend for brunch. There's parking in a small carpark across the road as well as on the main road. It's adjacent to the Lough Bird Sanctuary so it's a busy place for parking with people strolling around the Lough etc. Excellent selection on their breakfast menu, lots of people opting for a granola cup which looked amazing Loads of gorgeous looking cakes to have with a cup of tea or coffee. You can eat inside or outside. Lovely serving staff. There are some steps to navigate depending on where you'd like to sit but steps can be avoided also. Not open that long, called The Black Swan now apparently....at least that is what the menus etc. show. Enjoy
Great neighbourhood breakfast location. Breakfast is tasty, unpretentious and very well priced. The staff are exceptionally lovely.Food: 5/5
Myself and my friend went in this morning. We were pleasantly surprised at the extent of the menu and great value for money. The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely amazing so pleasant and so helpful. We will definitely be returning. If you are walking around the Lough I would highly recommend you stop by. Well done to you all.
Love it everytime. Dreamily looking out at The Lough in all its beauty. A fab place to relax especially outdoors on a nice day. Plenty of seating available indoors. Plenty of beverages both hot and cold. You can have chocolate with your cuppa. Sit yourself down here for a treat after a walkabout feeding the birds.
Four of us went for lunch today, we had a table outside with a lovely view of the Lough. I ordered the warm chicken salad. I asked the server at the counter if it was GF. On hearing my enquiry the chef came out to discuss how he could tweak the dish to cater for Coeliac. It was one of the nicest salads I’ve had and I eat a lot of them as it’s often the only option on a menu! My friends ordered the toasted special & an open sandwich. They were impressed by the quality of ingredients in particular the bread. I’ll definitely be back soon. Parking: Ample parking across the road
On a sunny afternoon sitting outside and enjoying a delicious pint with a view over the beautiful Lough...... Bliss. Really nice bar Food: 5/5
Today was the opening of the new cafe inside The Hawthorn. It was beautiful. The 3 of us had breakfast and it was delicious also the best price in Cork City that’s for sure! Will be back again.
