Excellent agents, really did everything they could to help get us through the purchase of a house quickly. As a buyer you don't expect the agent to be ready to help and so eager to do what they could to help with a purchase. Paul was fantastic, the whole team was but Paul was our primary point of contact. He was friendly, honest and quick to respond even on his days off or after hours. He even helped us with surveyor recommendations and to find a few household things we needed after we purchased (like a surveyor rec for a loft extension). Also as I know Paul did a good job negotiating for the seller. We came up quite a bit from our initial offer which was fair but he was very honest about it and while I knew he was negotiating us up, he was completely fair and reasonable about giving reasons and being nice and communicative during the negotiations. Friendly & professional service. They went above and beyond. Anyone who has had a bad experience with an agent hasn't worked with Paul or the rest of the Hawes & Co team. For sure we will call them to sell our house when it's time.

Paul was great from the start. He impressed us when he came to value the house, giving good, thoughtful advice on priorities in terms of prepping the house for sale. He also pitched the valuation as a sensible point to maximize our profit, without being unrealistic. During the sale process he kept us informed and advised us well. He also worked hard in chasing down sales leads. We saw 6 estate agents from various companies, and we defiantly made the right call in engaging him.

I worked with Paul Mannell who I can strongly recommend. Paul is a a good local agent who understood where the local market was for my property. His valuation appraisal proved to be accurate (it was not the highest but with hindsight it proved to be the best or optimum price which in a challenging market proved to be the best strategy). Viewings were managed professionally and I was kept up to date with interested parties and their positions. You can instruct an online agent but in what is a tough market someone like Paul who, unlike an online agent, understands the local market, maintains relationships with potential buyers, and is able to invest considerable time in managing the conveyancing process. When things get tricky between seller and buyer, which is very common in the currrent market, it's important to have someone like Paul who keeps his cool - Ive had agents for former sales who can get very aggressive - and finds common ground between seller and buyer.

We've been in contact with many estate agents in Wimbledon over the last year or so and Marcus Short from Hawes and Co was easily the best of the lot. Unlike most agents we've met he not only listened to us but he actually remembered what our requirements were. Marcus came across very well and seemed very genuine. Thanks for all your help Marcus.

Highly recommend Marcus and his team. They sold my other half's house and did a superb job. Very astute on potential purchasers and worked hard to get the best price. Proper experienced professionals, not kids in shiny suits.
