Brief visit, but looks great. I'll definitely return for a good look around. They do sell my favourite chocolate - Tony's Chocolonely, and I've never seen so many varieties! I am wondering whether you can order a large coffee, or whether 'one size fits all'...
Just been to a fantastic Easter hunt with my 3 children aged 14 , 10 and 16months. There was so much to do and the weather was gorgeous for it . At the farm shop there is a cafe and a shop with fresh fruit and veg there’s a butchers and there’s and refill station for washing liquid and other supply’s . They now do camping and there is an pick your own orchard which is really lovely to do .there are other events which are on there fb page I absolutely enjoy my visit here .
Overall our stay at Hawarden was lovely. We camped for 2 nights in a bell tent in August and although the facilities and surroundings are great we felt the camping set up was pretty basic for £75 per night. The website only shows photos of the outside and we were expecting it to be a bit cosier having stayed in similar places before for the same price. We ate at the farm shop restaurant both nights and it had a great atmosphere. The food was really good and staff very friendly but on the Friday the que to order food/drinks was 30+ minutes each time which wasn’t ideal!
All style, no substance and certainly NOT a farm shop. Hardly any farm produce - this place is an over-priced cafe that looks really pretty, but the prices are absolutely EXTORTIONATE. They also can't be bothered to sort out the gargantuan holes in their car park. Won't be visiting again; Complete waste of time
Very overpriced, charging like they're in London not North Wales. The food is good but at £8 for a bacon sandwich or £4.50 for a round of toast I still found my breakfast hard to stomach. The farm shop seems smaller than it used to be and disappointing. Overall I feel the owners are to focused on style and have missed out on substance.
Popped in for lunch with my 3 year old, came away unimpressed and out of pocket. Firstly, the kids menu isn't great, just smaller versions of the adults menu which is also limited. I had a sausage sandwich, my daughter had the kids pancakeswhich were awful may I add she didn't eat them we had a tap water, apple juice and x2 sausage rolls.to takeaway, it cost me £29!!!! Awful experience
Disappointing! Young staff not interested in customers or working. Till area caused confusion as people were paying and queuing to be seated in the same area. Waited on a quiet day only to be ignored by young staff members whilst older staff did the work. Serious lack of customer service training. Food was lacklustre and expensive.... One mostly potato fishcake with 3 lettuce leaves was £14!!! Misleading menu.....very disappointed and will not return.
Great little farm shop with lots of local and artisan foods for sale. Lovely on site restaurant too, we had an all day breakfast which was lovely and everything had a home made twist right down to the baked beans. Well worth a visit.
Great selection of bakery items & massive hot cross bun!! Worth the stop.
A wonderful veggie breakfast and an awesome service. Lots of exciting things to purchase. Definitely worth a visit. X
