Having been to this site twice before we were looking forward to our stay,we stayed from the 26/5/17 to the 29/5 17 we knew about the road up to the site but had no problems getting up there this time and as in the past we went straight to the touring park ,the barrier number we were given didnt work so it was a kind chap who was going out that let us in,where we booked in ,in the past the wooden shed at entrance there was nobody there so we went and found our pitch and set up,the toilet/shower block was locked up and the water supply on the pitch trickled out the tap,a friend of ours had towed the caravan down there for us because of my disability the DVLA had revoked my liscence now he wanted to go but because we had barrier numbers that didnt work he couldnt get off site so i had to walk all the way down to reception(easy for some not for me)where i found out this is now where you book in,im sorry but since its been taken over it seems a bit of a shambles now,whats happened to the information pack you use to get?and the ticket you had to hang up in the front window of your van or tied to your tent,seems its a case of we got your money theres your pitch get on with it and i know it was a bank holiday weekend and expected it to be busy and i would have thought you too would be geared up for it but seems not as the ladies had to take their own loo roll with them and you now have no shop on site,and there use to be a chest freezer on site.we found it badly run now and sorry but wont be coming back as you are expensive for what you are offering.

Just been told to leave this campsite, 2350 on a Sunday night, and don't even know why. We returned from two halves of lager and a chinese and were told to leave because there was a website address written on our camper van (we hired the van it was the company name). Has anyone else heard of this law? They said commercial vehicles are not allowed on the campsite, my understanding of commercial vehicle is not this? Then they changed the story to say it wasn't a real camper van, so we found ourselves opening doors and showing them the bed and the cooker etc. Then they said it was because we told them we had a tent (sort of true, this was because we didn't need electric power just a space on the grass, but why is this relevant?) then they said it was because we were deceitful, am confused on this one. All very weird, would not recommend if you have a choice. Highly unpleasant experience. They were outwardly polite but actually rather nasty, feeling ambushed and confused and a little in shock at the moment

Nice and well maintained campsite on a good location. Nicest spots may not have electricity though. Also,  our facilities block was very clean but getting old with toilets and washing facilities in the same area.
