Great place! Fantastic well thought through site with lovely clean facilities and a shop. Plenty for the kids to do - playarea and indoor playroom. Great track to safely cycle or scoot around the campsite and a huge area in the middle for communual ball games etc. Nice walk from site to adjoining fields to take dogs for a run and let them off of their leads etc A place we well return to.

As novice campers we don't have a great deal to compare it with but we were with experienced campers so these views reflect their feedback too. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the toilet and shower block. Very. Apparently they are among the nicest that most people have experienced on a camp site. On this basis alone I would recommend this site if you are virgin campers, particularly if you are going under duress! Apart from that, the ground was flat, the staff friendly and helpful, everything was good. The only slight negative is that the website shows a coffee shop. This doesn't exist. It's alleged existence did not day or decision to choose this site but it's absence was a minus point on Sunday morning when I was first up and craving a coffee. Take it off the website people, and no one would care! All in all, highly recommended.

We have just returned home from our first family camping trip and we couldn't have asked for more. From first contact to checking out, the staff at Chestnut Meadow were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. The park itself is situated in a lovely spot and was just the right size with very spacious pitches. We found the facilities to be of a high standard and well maintained. It was important to us that we could allow the children some independence during our stay. It wasn't long before they made friends with other children staying at the site and their whereabouts was never in question. The layout and size of the site means you can keep a watchful eye on them from a distance without cramping their style. We would most highly recommend Chestnut Meadow Camping & Caravan Park. It was the perfect way for our family to start our camping adventures and it won't be long before we are back again.

It was really fun here! The wifi was okay, it was quiet and soothing. My mum could just relax whilst we were having fun here. Can't wait to come again!

Chestnut Meadow is a great site for caravans, tents etc. Our family have been camping here with my grandchildren for 3 years and we started coming in our tourer last year. We only live 20 mins away but it's so lovely here you feel as if you could be anywhere. The staff as so helpful and always happy to see you. The shower block is always clean with constant hot water. The area in the middle is such a brilliant space for the children to play although if the weather is bad the games room is available. We have extended our stay on several occasions as we are loathe to leave!!
