What a great experience this time! - we went 3 years ago but the food and the service was awful, staff seemed to not want to be there and manager couldn't care less. This time what a difference, The food was amazing, to a quality you would expect at a much more expensive restaurant. The service was incredible too, Ashley our waiter couldn't do enough for us, making us all very relaxed, very informative on the menu and offering great recommendations on dishes and drinks to compliment our choices. He kept our children entertained and now they say it's their favourite restaurant. Tom the manager has done a wonderful job in turning this restaurant around and him and his team deserve every credit in changing our perceptions. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family and will most definitely return soon.

As a harvester, this is really being run well. They must have changed the team since I last visited. Congratulations to the chefs and the service team for a really good meal and great service on a busy Saturday. Look, it's not the Savoy; you won't see lobster thermidor on the menu. Try and get Ashley as your water and you'll be guaranteed a great visit.

Good food, nice restaurant vibe. However my friend and I had a long while for the ice cream at the end. Thankfully the manager got the chef's in order and we were in no rush.

Thought we'd try again after a complete disaster of a meal last week. No this week was terrible again. We sat by the kitchen hatch which probably was a mistake as I could see everything they did. I watch as 2 of our starters sat waiting for the 3rd, after 13mins the other starter appeared and our starters were then delivered to our table. When finished we then sat and waited for the mains. We watched as they messed up our order with mushy peas which then got tipped away and replaced, again we watched as one of the meals had their chips sat on the plate for nearly 10mins before any of the other plates had food put on them. The meal wasn't great, the garden peas were stewed where they had been sat cooking for too long so left them. The person who had a burger couldn't eat all of their meal as the chips were cold and the burger tasted awful. The only good part of the meal was the pudding, just a shame we had to wait soooooo long for them.

Love the breakfasts, although would prefer better quality sausages and a clean tea urn! Don't like the evening stuff, too greasy!! Salad bar is a big plus point.
