Wonderful care in A&E last night. Very busy and staff were under a lot of pressure but everyone was so kind and helpful. Very long wait, minor injuries would have been the right place for some of the injuries. Thank you to everyone there you do an incredible job for which we are very grateful.
This is the second time I have attended the Endoscopy department in 2 years. May I say the procedures aren't nice but, & this is a big but. The staff on this department are exceptional at what they do. They are courteous, professional, knowledgeable & last but far from least caring. They have on both occasions made me feel comfortable & at ease with everything that was happening. A big thankyou from me. All of you take care.
Excellent care from the A&E team. I spent almost 24 hours at the hospital. Being concerned about my symptoms I was re- assured and taken care of. All the nesessary tests were done and a diagnosis made. The two doctors who looked after me were fantastic, the nursing staff were very friendly . Thank you so much!
MRI team brilliant professional. However, do not go in Harriet's restaurant. The customer service is appalling, staff spend more time talking than serving customers. The food is absolutely disgusting, 2 x breakfast, coffee, tea, £11.00. Then to sit down and to have to warm it up in a microwave myself, not good at all.
Can’t stay in a&e to get seen, they’re not accommodating for anyone in distress or with mental illness. Told them I had appendicitis symptoms which they ignored for 4 days till my appendix burst and I ended up with peritonitis and almost died. No apology or further help with the trauma of that. The mental health team here can be good and I can’t say bad word about the ambulance staff. Reception staff can be rude, I asked 7/8 times if I could wait in an empty side room because I was distressed and they told me to move to the canteen which was also busy, I waited for hours but had to leave as it was too distressing. I know the staff are stretched, but 10 hour waits when there’s a couple of people waiting isn’t acceptable
Had to attend as an out patient to dept E101 and from the moment I arrived every single member of staff I interacted with was kind, helpful, and without exception superb. The entire team in that department are a real credit to the hospital and the wider NHS. I have nothing but praise for every single person in the department- a huge thank you.
Brilliant ED, excellent Dr's and nursing staff, all trying their hardest to do their very best despite broken equipment and lack of beds. However, their frustrations never showed through, true professionals. Great hospital great people working there.
Fantastic care in A&E snd also in Bolton ward following suspected heart attack . Doctors, nurses snd all staff so pleasant , thorough, professional and caring despite being under extreme pressure. Cannot thank them enough for the care they provided.
I had a knee arthroscopy yesterday at the day surgery unit. I was very impressed! I arrived at noon, was greeted warmly and shown to my bed/cubicle; shortly afterwards the physiotherapist came to go through my post operative exercises and give me my crutches. Then a very pleasant doctor arrived to check my notes and marked the correct knee for the surgery. Shortly afterwards my consultant Mr Damien Ball introduced himself and then the anaesthetist arrived. I went down to theatre about 2pm, staff again were very kind and helpful. Before I knew it I was in recovery, then wheeled back to the ward and given tea and biscuits. Staff nurse gave me my medication and talked me through what I needed to do over the next few days then my husband arrived to take me home. So many things could have caused delays but the unit was well run and co-ordinated. Everyone I met was friendly and approachable - thanks to them all.
I had to go to A&E with a badly damaged wrist, the staff were incredibly efficient, and the thoroughness to ascertain the extent of my damage was impressive, if it was in my power i would give them what the ask, they deserve it
