Story

Handley's Cafe is THE place to come for locally sourced fine foods, to eat in or take away. We stock TeaPigs, Surrey's Kokoh chocolate, Cake pops and Local Hopart beers to name but a few. We have a cafe area with over 20 seats inside and 15 outside. We serve our own blend of great coffee and have a range of cold drinks including iced frappe's and our famous milkshakes and smoothies. Our freshly made sandwiches are perfect for take-away lunches and we also offer a range of homemade cakes - perfect for afternoon tea!
You can Private Hire Handley's Monday to Saturday evenings for your own functions, parties, corporate events etc. Speak to Darcey or Hannah.

Great coffee. I drink it black so I can taste it. This was Handley's Blend and you can buy it. I didn't get any but i nearly did. Close enough? Banquette was comfortable, but the metal chairs weren't. And what do you know, I managed to weave the word banquette into a review....

This establishment is well branded and presents a comfortable place to stop off. Sadly, the customer service was quite poor when I visited. Firstly, I think the staff could do with some more training on how to address customers properly. This, alone, wouldnt have bothered me but it did add to irritation that my breakfast took longer than 20 minutes to arrive after ordering which was surprising, given they weren't busy. I then popped to the toilet and when I had returned they had removed my plate. I did tell the young man that he had removed my food and he just said "Sorry" and carried on doing other things ignoring my request to pay him as I needed to leave as my parking ticket had expired and so I was forced to leave too much money on the counter because my parking ticket was about to expire.

My friend and I love going to Handleys as often as we can. Neil, Hannah and all their staff are so lovely and friendly that we feel as if they are family. The food is excellent and always freshly cooked and the cakes are to die for. The service is better than some 5* restaurants that my family have taken me to over the last few years. Well worth a visit. :-)

A lovely coffee shop. Always beautifully clean, including the loo, and very good service, from the staff. Can highly recommend their custard tarts - very light and moreish too! Good quality cappuccinos, and the staff are always polite, helpful,and smiling. I have never tried any of their meals, but having seen them brought to other customers, they are always very well presented and look of a good quality, with generous sized portions. A very good place to go and can recommend.
