Great trails from green family stuff to fairly challenging black stuff that's equal to a red at non forestry commission trail centres. Has bike washing facilities, bike hire and a well stocked bike shop. Cafe is great, has wifi and has a good choice of greasy spoon type foods. Loads of walking and family stuff like an adventure park. If you want more of a challenge hit up descend bike park within the forest.

Great place to spend the day with the kids they loved the parks and playing in the water. Needs more facilities like an ice cream shop or van. Plenty of good bike rides was well.

I live just a stones throw away from Hamsterley Forest and regularly walk my dog around here. This is a great place for Mountain Biking and Walking with loads of Play areas for the kids and not forgetting the Gruffalo trail. Good fun for all the family and a nice little cafe where you can relax and have a break and a cuppa.

Fantastic family walks for all ages plenty of art along the way and trail activities from the shop will mean children of all ages can explore and walk in the wild without complaint will be visiting again. Ample parking and clean toilets great place for a family picnic in summer with around 6 play parks right next to the car park can easily spend a nice free family day out here.

Great place for walking and cycling. Plenty of parking, nice cafe, and bike shop. The bike routes are excellent and the Red has some brilliant new sections.
