Spent 2 nights here was very peaceful well run site manager was lovely the lodge was clean and tidy and had everything we needed look forward to a stay there in the summer
I went here last year and it was terrible the bathrooms were not clean and there were spiders everywhere and no offence but the parks play hut I got hurt on I fell over and hurt my knee all because there's no warning on a different level so I blame that fall on the campsite.The thing I loved about this campsite is that there's loads of animals but not alot of stuff to do and if the owners of dales view comment on this saying it's not that bad you'd be lying and the campsite could have better for disabled people please do better and I'm sorry if this sounded rude but one of the owners was a bit rude
How this campsite has good reviews I don’t know. It’s horrible. When we first came, no one was there to welcome us. When they sent the booking email, we were still driving to the campsite so we couldn’t reply. That’s on the people who send out emails or whatever. If no one had come, we wouldn’t even be able to get in. The owner of the campsite is not friendly at all, as much as they might seem nice. The toilets were disgusting and covered in cobwebs. Really could do with a good clean… Showers were either too hot or too cold. The space between each pitch is way too small, leaving barely any room between caravans once you put your awning up and get everything else set up. Also, according to laws caravans must be at least 6 meters apart. This site also breaks fire regulations.. How has it not been closed down? The park was okay, but the small wooden hut in the park could do with a clean. It’s all dusty and covered in litter. In fact, there’s quite a lot of litter around and the site. And the grass is never cut. :/ The bar was the only good part about the campsite. More accessible services for the disabled could be added to the site. Rails or something to hold onto in the showers would be a good starter. Never coming again. For anyone reading this review, don’t come to this campsite. You will be disappointed. And if whoever is in charge of the campsite reads this review, keep this review in mind to make your campsite better for future visitors.
We stayed here walking part of the Pennine Way, there is a small well-kept field set aside for campers with a water tap. The toilets and showers are pretty good for a site that mainly for static caravans. There is a small washing machine room with power plugs we used for our phones, nowadays essential There is a bar on site but may or may not be open. Short walk from town, which has a fish and chip shop.
It did the trick. Good pot washing facilities complete with resident chicken!nThe pub only opens at the weekend so we were able to use the pub tables and the shelters to eat at and shelter from the rain. Leanne is welcoming and the maintenance guy is friendly as are the residents. The highlight for us was a hedgehog in our porch both nights.
