We recently had the pleasure of purchasing our X Trail from Hammonds at Halesworth. Carl was outstanding throughout, from the very first email through to handover. It's nice to be able to still deal with family firms who care about customer service, rather than the anon online corporations. Highly recommended
I have been a customer here now a couple of times and i must say the salesman Carl has gone above and beyond to help me with making a good informed choice of which vehicle to purchase and service plans etc. Also all the other staff Ive had dealings with have been most helpful and pleasant.
Can never fault this company. We use the Nissan branch. Sales, service staff , the best around. Their mechanics top quality professionals. Highly trusted company in my opinion.
Very friendly helpful people. Never cheap but they are a main dealer. Had a problem with ignition switch on 12 yr old Note and they were able to replace with new in an hour.

Car got a flat, took it to their 'Free Puncture Repair' thinking it couldn't possible be 'free', but when I went to pick it up, I didn't have to pay a penny! They even offered to check my 'torque' after 50 miles for free as well. Brilliant service, repaired tire is still going strong after a month and 100's of miles. Happy customer. ** Update, August 2019... Not sure when I posted this review, but the flat tire is STILL going strong! It was practically new when it was damaged, so they really did save me a pretty penny. **
Fantastic service from Hammonds recovery team. Had assistance from them for two separate breakdowns, one July 2018 and one last week. Faultless friendly professional service both times 10/10 ! Highly recommended. Have also purchased two used cars from Hammonds over the years - they too provided a friendly professional service, 10/10 as well!
Always been very happy with Hammonds up to a few months ago. 37500mile service carried out on our Cmax . Then we got a phone call telling us that we needed four new tyres, one had a serious cut in it down to the wire casing, the other three needed replacing “ASAP” as they were so worn, but that they could supply all four. After informing the gentleman that we were motability customers and would have to have the tyres replaced by KwikFit, we were told that they were unable to do it then. Took the car to KwikFit, who confirmed that there was a cut in one tyre, which was replaced, but that they could not replace the other three as there was too much tread left and motability would not sanction that. At 46,000 odd miles some eight thousand miles later took it back and KwikFit replaced the still legal tyres. We did not complain at the time because of the previous excellent service that we have experienced at Hammonds. On the Twelfth of August I rang them and told them that there was a loud humming noise from one of the back wheel s and it sounded like a wheel bearing. They booked it in for the twenty second as I needed a replacement car dropped off for my disabled wife. Cannot put the mobility aid that she needs in these replacement cars but we are grateful to have a car in case I have to take her, at short notice, to hospital even without the mobility aids hospital staff would help. The car was picked up on time and later I was informed that the nearside wheel bearing needed replacing, but they had to order one as non were in stock and that the car would be done the next day. That’s reasonable, two days to wait but before the bank holiday weekend, very good thank you. Heard nothing on friday until I rang at lunch time and asked for a progress report , I was told that the technicians had been taken off our scheduled job to attend to “an emergency breakdown”. The gentleman promised to ring me back at one pm. No call, rang at one thirty, he told me that the bearing was stuck and was having to be ground off, I have never heard of that before but I asked if he could ring me back, he promised to ring me at three. My wife, by now, was getting distressed at the prospect of being in the house over the whole bank holiday weekend in the forecasted extremely hot weather. No call at three, rang him at approx three twenty, he tells me that he had just come back from lunch and he says that the car will not be ready today. I was not exactly pleased at this as a wheel bearing replacement is not a hugely time consuming job and from previous experience, I know that the technicians are really first class at Hammonds, but I did need the disabled badge that had been left in the car and told him that I would be coming to the garage to collect it. My son called in and offered to come with me. A big surprise when we arrived at the garage at about five thirty and my son was told that the car was actually ready. Thank you to the technicians who did a grand job, however the excuses that I had been given over the phone did not sound sensible and stretched my idea of common sense to the limit, also causing distress to my wife who quite frankly did not believe what I had been told. Ultimately the poor communication from the service desk caused an unnecessary amount of distress, maybe we should consider another garage for our next car in March. Yours Faithfully David J.
