AVOID AVOID AVOID I wish I had read all the past reviews! The car is lovely, our salesman Lee was lovely everything else is a joke. Having given them 3 weeks to prep the car when we arrived it was in a filthy state, still had the old owners glasses in it, the promised wheel refurb hadn't been done. Small paint touch ups that should just have been routinely done hadn't! We left the car and returned a week later. It looked better but the parcel shelf was missing and the tow bar it had been sold with had been removed. I've rung numerous times to get it sorted they can't be bothered to phone back. I've sent emails to social@marshall as per their requests in other reviews.....guess what ..no reply! In this day and age to treat customers like this is frankly beyond belief. Needless to say we won't be getting the car serviced there and what should have been a fun way to spend 35K turned into a nightmare. You have been warned!!
Unfortunately bad customer service now seems to be a common theme. I bought a used Skoda Yeti in June 2018 and luckily was given a years warranty whivw I asked for considering the 9k price that was cash paid. I had a few problems that are nearly all sorted now, but only because of my own persistence and hard work. I am however still waiting for the appearance of any previous service history as it wasn't with the car on purchase. Like a fool I to trusted the Marshall name on this but there is NO customer service follow up calls/emails from Halesworth unless you really make a nuisance of yourself I emailed head office and surprisingly Dave called me 2 hours later. I feel I have been mis-sold a car with no service history although I'm still trying to get it sorted 9 months later. My advice...do your homework first but if possible avoid buying from here.
We bought a Range Rover back in April having been told we had a 12 month warranty. We got the paperwork sent through with 3 months warranty cover. We are now in August and still chasing. When we picked it up only one of the three things identified for fixing had been done and had to wait an hour whilst they fixed it. The manager Dave is always saying yes we will sort it and never does. He got angry with me because I went to his bosses to try and get it resolved. So over three months later and I am still chasing for the warranty documents. I have called in excess of 10 times and emailed so many times I have lost count and it has always been me chasing. At Marshalls in Halesworth you better not leave there having paid any money unless you are 100% sorted otherwise you will have a hopeless chase to get things resolved. I don't write bad reviews but when a business is so negligent about customer service future consumers should be warned.
WARNING DO NOT USE! My husband recently look our Range Rover into the Halesworth dealership for a warranty job whilst our car was under their care a personal item was STOLEN. We reported the incident to the dealership and they are taking no responsibility claiming they have asked all their staff and no one is admitting to theft. Completely outrageous customer service I highly recommend no one uses this dealership as untrustworthy individuals work there. It’s not something you expect when using a prestigious dealer. My husband was told by Land Rover UK someone would contact us directly to help resolve this issue but no one has bothered.
I purchased as used vehicle from this dealer 3 years ago, I never had a very good experience to be honest with you, but that’s another story. I have since replaced the vehicle twice, but Marshall’s still keep sending me text’s telling me my vehicle is due an MOT and it needs a service…..Even if I did still have this vehicle I wouldn’t take it to these jokers, in fact I wouldn’t, take a push bike there
If I could give no Stars then I would, happy to take your money, but the after service is rubbish!Traded in my golf GTI as wanted something more economical for my family ,we are still waiting on paper work which we asked for when we brought the car 5 weeks ago! Only drove the car for 3 weeks out of the five we have had it, the coolant was drained when we came back from holiday we took it back and they told us that there is a stone lodged in the radiator which is not covered with are 349.00 warrently we paid, we took the car to a independent mechanic who told us it’s not a stone but a bolt which may have happened when the car had previous work done to it! Before we brought the car we asked them to change the cam belt and the grill at the front as it was broken they did the work, but the service book was not stamped at this time which is just bad practice!! Have called numerous times and nobody gets back to you! My husband eventually talked to them saying that a bolt had been found and this may have happened when the cam belt had been put in and would they pay half as it was not our fault, and they replied NO!!! As they kept saying that you have had the car for 5 weeks we have only drove the car 10 miles a day for 3 of these weeks as we have been on hols for the last two. We wanted more from a car which we paid £9000 for didn’t expect this to happen after only 3 weeks of driving!! Not happy and will be seeking advice!!
We visited Halesworth branch today and after initial approach and coffee from front of house staff which was professional and friendly unfortunately that's where things took a down turn. Although told repeatedly someone would attend to us no one did. We waited patiently by the car we were interested in purchasing and realised that after over 30 minutes we were not high on anyone's prority list and finally left the showroom. There appeared to be only one other customer in the showroom! We will not be returning.
dealer let take my vehicle with cords showing on tyres, had many problems with vehicle, staff unhelpful and this go for the managers, repair work on vehicle looked like it was done by a children, it took over a year for them to get a part in for my car. had to take vehicle back 3-4 times for the same repair, damaged trim parts while doing the work, my list goes on and on and on.
This place used to be good, but that was some time back. its frankly a joke now. don't take your car in there. bad service, bad workmanship and bad personal data management. month after the last service call im still trying to sort out my car.
Totally different service experience now under the new ownership. The staff look bored and dishevelled and showed little or no service skills. We approached one of four desks with a receptionist to be told she was busy on the other desk. Approached then by not one but three more people to ask whether we being served. Gave our name three times then stood around like a spare part before someone dealt with us. No one asked us if we would like to sit down or whether we would like a drink bearing in mind it was. a very hot day. Someone from the service department finally came and dealt with us be we felt because we were on a prepayment service plan therefore no money changed hands, we were treated with no interest and in fact with disdain.
