The performers at the entrance did a great job, she was very lively and caught my attention. It was my first time visit this toy shop and was impressively surprised that there are 5 floors in total with different themed organised. I didn’t have enough time to walk around all the floors but I was surprised by how the shop works like an amusement park. There’s an ice cream shop and some performances to entertain the kids. Such an interesting place.
Excellent selection of toys in several floors. We loved especially the Harry Potter themed bottom floor. Toilet is upstairs so while visiting there, you have opportunity to evplore all the floors. Worth visiting this store.
Such a wonderful store. Visited here a few months ago to grab some souvenirs for my nephews and son. It did not disappoint. It is a little pricey, but I was able to find some very nice items. There are a few floors and you're guaranteed to find something for kids of all ages. There were some very cool displays as well.
First thing first... at the risk of sounding like Scrooge, my brief review is very much written by a parent, from a parents point of view. There's no doubt that you kids will love this place. Be prepared to scrum your way through the crowds as you try not to lose them! I must say though, I thought this place had the feel of an overpriced jumble sale. I was also disappointed with the quality of some of the bits we purchased, having paid £12 for 2 foam aeroplanes that turned out to be broken in the packet. It's busy beyond belief and tacky, but as a one-time experience, you have to go
Hamleys is a British institution and I remember it being an amazing experience as a child myself back in the 80’s and 90’s. I can totally see how and why kids today throw tantrums on virtually every floor here, as it’s a lot to take in and sensory overload!nnMy personal favourite is the top floor, as it’s where the dads are all in awe with the drones and big boy toys I was close to buying the remote control harrier jet for myself!nnHowever, as other reviewers have pointed out, the prices have skyrocketed greatly, far outpacing the quality of some items.nnAlso, it makes no sense to charge for bags - if anything, walking out with large Hamleys bags is great publicity and brand marketing for the company and adds to the overall shopping and gift-giving experience.nnOverall, a great place to visit, especially if you’re visiting London for the first time, but be prepared to spend.
