tl;dr: A new-book literature superstore with six massive floors of every genre imaginable!nnService and Price: Because Foyles deals in new books, you can expect to pay cover price on anything you find on their endless shelves. Thus, you are at the mercy of the book company’s whims. I cannot speak on their service, as I didn’t interact with any employees. This is no fault of their own, and they were extremely busy when I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon.nnSelection: They have all the books. All of them, every genre, every subject, and every topic. From apples to zebras, you’ll find a book on whatever topic you might be looking for, and everything in between.nnLocation: Foyles is located in SOHO on Charing Cross Road, opposite Phoenix Street. It is wheelchair accessible. If you drive here, good luck finding parking.nnInterior and Displays: Foyles is truly massive. Five levels including the ground floor of books, a cafe and an events space on the next two levels, and you have enough room to be considered in the same category as the library of Alexandria. Even with so much space, everything was very well organized, clean, and well lit. Book displays featured various themes throughout the store, and each section was clearly marked as to what it contained.nnOverall: Foyles is a massive book retailer that will absolutely offer something that will catch your interest. If you want a new book but don’t know what exactly you want yet, take a stroll through this labyrinth and you’ll likely leave happy.
I visited the café on the 5th floor and found it to be spacious and comfortable. The drink selection wasn’t particularly extensive, but there was a good enough range of options.nnThe tables weren’t always cleared or kept perfectly tidy, but I actually loved the fact that this place offered a quiet space to relax, away from the hectic outside world.nnI think what made it even better was that it wasn’t crowded, as many tourists don’t seem to know about this hidden gem. I do worry that this little sanctuary might become too busy because of this review, but it truly deserves to be appreciated.
One of the largest book stores in London. Every branch you imagine is present. Unfortunately Dentistry books are little but that's totally understandable...nThe library has 5 stories and a cafe at level 5.nThe underground level is for kids books.nOverall it was a good experience
One of the most impressive shops I’ve ever been in.nnIt has an insane amount of stock and variety.nnThe place is big enough that you can still find quiet spots to sit and relax too.nnWe also loved the vintage photo booth in the manga section.
An amazing bookstore with endless depth. While the books are sold at retail and rarely on sale, the range is large enough to give due praise. Great store.
