Foyles is still the best bookshop in London, in my opinion, although - alas - it has only the shadow of its former glory, with a much reduced selection of titles for highly specialized non-fiction interests and very few second-hand books on the shelves. Since the move to the new premises, the floor area is much smaller, but this has made the store easier to navigate and the lifts are fast and reliable. The staff remain knowledgeable in their areas and are usually friendly. Most improved is the children's section on the lower ground floor. Well worth a visit, especially for tourists, but I fear the day I will have to resort to the internet to source my reading material is drawing ever closer (sigh).

My favourite bookstore in London. Great selection of books, friendly staff and a nice cafe at the top floor. I'm biased though, I got to attend a signing event by Terry Pratchett there and since then it has won my 💓. Whenever I show visiting friends who live books around London I make it a point to introduce them to Foyles.

Well stocked bookshop in the heart of London. Has six floors altogether. A beautiful cafe on the fifth floor, and an events hosting room on the sixth. Large selection of books, and a special section for children and toys! Staff are experienced and knowledgeable. If you need any assistance, please enquire at the nearest counter. There is one on every floor. Foyles also operates a Loyalty card for guests. I manage to park my car in Soho Square today. Sometimes, I park in the Chinatown Car Park. Thank you.

One of my favourite spots in London. An enormous bookshop with excellent choice, everything is laid out logically and there are always interesting titles dotted around the shop on displays, recently they had a collection of books by authors included in Trump's "Muslim ban", which I thought was a great idea. The cafe on the top floor is also good, a bit pricey but very nice vibes with lots of people working away, friends meeting and book club meetings and the like! A great place for a bookshop lover to spend an hour or two.

The best bookshop in London? Probably. Great ‘new’ space with huge selection of books. Cafe space good too. Some (not all) of the staff could learn to be a little more friendly.
