Delicious food with a wonderful outdoor seating area. Lots of parking spaces. A nice place to enjoy food and cold drinks while being out in the sun. They have a menu for dogs as well.
Great food and good portions. I had the Hot Shot Parmesan pictured. The Sticky Toffee pudding was a great surprise and the best I've had- very moist and soft sponge.Food: 5/5
Rocked up randomly on a Saturday afternoon. Busy, but still spaces and tables free outside. Staff were very friendly and seemed to actually enjoy being there. Had a very good choice of vegetarian meals and snacks. The chunky chips are great. Proper coffee too. Plan to go back for an evening meal soon. Vegetarian options: About 14 veggie options, all sounding delicious.
Our food was gorgeous. We had brisket, horseradish mash, veg and a Yorkshire pud. Some more of the gorgeous gravy would have been very welcome. Service was very slow, and nobody came to ask if we wanted dessert. Dog friendly, and Rocky loved his chicken in gravy.Food: 5/5
Went there for a Sunday/birthday dinner and have been here several times over the years!!! Was a bit dubious as the standard of food was questionable. However that was before covid!!! There wasn't anymore chicken but it was nearer 1500 hrs. We had the beef which was quite nice!!! The portion sizes were really good and my granddaughters child portion would've done 2!!! All in all a good experience.
I’ve eaten here quite a few times over the years. Takeout or eat in I’ve never had a bad experience. The food is outstanding and great portions too. Always freshly cooked and tastes unreal.
Came on the 29/12/22 at 18:00 had a absolutely brilliantly cooked steak. The place was packed and we got served quickly with great service. two pipping hot courses. Would come again
We used to go here all the time but times have changed along with the service and the food. I ordered my favourite meal steak and it was a disappointing dinner. The steak come cut up into slices i dont know anyone who cuts a steak into slices before serving. I could understand it on other meats but not a steak. It was not cooked to my request and the chips were standard. We had a sticky toffee pudding for desert and it was disgusting. It tasted burnt and was crunchy around the edges as though they put it in the microwave for too long. We had only two courses and it took over 2.5hrs to serve both courses. For the price of the meal you would get a better and cheaper in a chain pub like weatherspoons or beefeater. Also i was drinking moretti and every pint was flat and at one point my partner had lipstick on her glass and she does not wear lipstick . This did used to have really lovely food I always left happy with my belly full and half cut but seriously has gone downhill it is a shame.
I usually visit for a meal once a month or so and last year had my birthday here with family. Tonight I'm disappointed. Prices have gone up a fair bit which I don't mind in todays world but the portions are much smaller. My wife and I were both still hungry after our main meal. Noone asked how our meal was or if everything had been okay. On another note I was initially charged for the wrong table, then when they found my bill it was incorrect and I'd been charged more only after requesting an itemised bill. Overall disappointed...should have stayed in the house and ordered a takeaway. Won't be returning.
Night out with friends expecting good food, i ordered salt and pepper parmo very very disappointed with it,the bread crumbs were soggy and slimy and tasteless, i returned more than half back as i could not eat it. i did tell the staff but all i got was a sorry. Also nobody came to ask did we want any dessert overall very disappointed.will not be going there again.
