Preston Farrm is owned by the Brewers Fair group, this venue was very open and spacious inside. Great for family outings with a play area inside and out for the little ones. Pool table inside and TV screens showing the latest sports events. Staff are pleasant, polite and well presented. On this occasion I dined in having the mixed grill, kids has fish bites with fries, spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread. Food was served on time, hot and tasted nice. Deserts also available. A varied menu serving the usual style pub foods were on the menu such as carvery, roast dinners and different burger meal options plus others. Large carpark with disabled spaces close to the entrance. Inside the toilets were clean and fresh, baby changing facilities are also on site. I would dine in this venue again. Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.
Staying at the premier inn for a night.. This place is just across the car park.. Usual Brewer's fair restaurant. Arrived about 7:30. Restaurant was quite. Not many in. Ordered the prawn cocktail starter ad lasagna for main. Prawn cocktail arrived in about 5 mins. Very cold. Been sat in the fridge for a while. Was expectable.. lasagna arrived about 10 mins after the starter. Garlic bread only done on one side.. Salad was fresh. Staff very polite and helpful. It's ok for what it is.
Where to start, stood waiting service for 10 minutes, then when meals finally arrive you won't receive them all together. Whilst you are waiting you will be freezing cold. When ordering anything containing steak make sure you check it straight away even though it's covered under everything else as the pictured is classed as medium rare... I'd say it's almost bleu. Then continue to wait a good 10 minutes for the plates to be cleared from the table. Ordering deserts, told a 15 minute wait which was fine, at which point the adults desserts arrived, wait another 15 minutes for the kids to arrive. Ordered a strawberry smash sundae, which doesn't contain anything off what it mentioned in the menu the sauce was added after we had to ask for some sauce Was sold a refillable hot chocolate to be told the coffee machine was broken, but the hot water worked, so agreed and then had to wait for some hot chocolate powder. As of late it has really gone down hill. Won't be returning.
A lot of items out of stock but good food and service. You can enjoy starters such as nachos or cauliflower bites, fish and chips, ribs, juicy burgers, Carvery and amazing tasty desserts... Located in Yarm Road. Definitely worth a visit.
This isn’t my first time here with my little one but this time I felt I needed to leave a review. My child loves it here but for me it’s the care, attention and friendliness from the staff, one lady in particular called Charlotte. This lady goes above and beyond every time we see her and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. This time she made a mother feel at ease with an Autistic child, who was having a very hard time and helped where she could. The mother was so grateful and this was so touching to see. This lady needs some recognition for how great she is. I wish more places, particularly family oriented places had more staff like this lady.
Good food and good service as usual. Used to go every Friday evening for tea with the missus and kids before lockdown and it's always a pleasant place and never too busy. The play area is fantastic entertainment for the little ones also.
Been many times, food is great and well prices, service is spot on. I've dropped one star though as we were shown to a table to the back area not to far from the kids play area, one thing about the kids play area I like they have a sliding door to keep it separate from the eating area, we've been to a few where it open fully and the noise level is high. On Thursday, there were a few families around us with kids at the tables, there were a few kids running around the eating area shouting and screaming.. on a few occasions nearly bumping into the waiters/waitresses serving meals. I understand young children are boisterous and like to play, but there is a play area for them to do that, one of the waitresses dis apologise and said we can opt for a table in the quiet area next time.
Had to wait over an hr and a half for food, food was ok when it eventually came tho, just not ideal to wait that long, when you have kids. Parents also not allowed in the soft play areas either, which made things more difficult. Clear signage in place to that fact. Severely understaffed. Which was not good for the atmosphere of the place. Lots of annoyed customers. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming, just all ran of there feet, poor lot. We will not be going back.
Well the one star is because it was a free main meal voucher ! I ordered fish and chips, as burgers or a cook from frozen meal was only available.. Had the place not been so busy with Christmas Meal party groups, I would have complained about the meal I was given..In brief, it was overcooked and at best luke warm..Why the kitchen and the management allow such sub standard meals to reach the customer saddens me..Pull your socks up ! you are part of what I thought was a Quality National chain ! Please don't continue with this very poor hospitality practice... The price of the meal I had was £11:49p 'daylight robbery' if I had to pay !!
Breakfast is been run like a military operation. All segregated into one corner to cut down on cleaning for staff. Which is unprofessional. No hot food is placed out like advertised an food has to be ordered so is not a buffet style as expected. An has to be ordered again to cut down on prep work for staff. Meet an greet is abrupt and not welcoming at all. After realising my distaste at disappointment Staff member Proceeded to gossip between each other and make situation even more unbearable. Left without eating. On a positive side manager realised disappointed and tried to make amends which was refreshing and was really welcoming after first encounter with seating waitress. All in all i realise its quiet but advertising Buffett style breakfast then having to order doesn't feel like company policies an proceeders for premier inn are been adhered too. an a quick turn around after breakfast is all that is trying to be achieved here at the cost of customer convenience an expectations. I shall endeavour to try again tomorrow an review this visit with a fresh outlook. Military review team Edited my review of this establishment came in friday evening time ordered two meals. Outstanding service from neive the manager richard an bar staff were exemplary throughout meal checked after service if everything was ok an richard explained the buffet situation excellently an the customer was in there focus for fresh food an no waste. An explained that a buffet style would be easier on the staff. All credit to the chefs the food is outstanding an can see is made with care. Military review team
