Hallmark Hotel Hull

About

A modern 4 star hotel on the outskirts of Hull, offering views over the Humber Estuary and Bridge. With 95 bedrooms and 5 meetings rooms.

Story

We don’t wish to be immodest – this is East Yorkshire, after all – but we’re certain you won’t find a hotel with more dramatic views of the area’s most iconic attraction. Tucked into 17 landscaped acres on the shore of the Humber estuary, the Hallmark Hotel Hull has a stunning overview of the famous bridge – once the longest single-span suspension bridge on earth: a memorable backdrop to romantic breaks, weddings and business meetings.

Indeed it’s a location that would surely have been immortalized by Hull’s most famous resident, poet Philip Larkin. Just a short stroll from the nature trails of the Humber Bridge National Park, and ten-minute drive from the lively city centre, the boutique Hallmark hotel takes advantage of its peachy setting with large panoramic windows washed with dazzling estuary light beneath a huge canopy of sky.

Our 95 stylish rooms and suites, with tasteful modern design blending chenille throws, richly patterned carpets and warm wood, have every modern amenity including free WiFi and round-the-clock room service. Then there’s our coolly contemporary wine bar and lively brasserie, serving super seasonal produce, whose modern European cuisine with Asian and Moroccan influences comes with a side serving of awe-inspiring Humber views.

Of course, whether you’re here for business or pure relaxation, you’ll enjoy top-notch fitness and beauty facilities. Alongside our gym’s state-of-the-art equipment, there’s a sauna and serene spa suites where highly qualified therapists provide Elemis treatments from Indian Head Massages to Oxygen Skincalm Facials.

Room dirty.. used sanitary found in the bin in the bathroom.. staff very apologetic but non the less shouldn't be given a room like that.. old hotel refurbished not very well to be honest .. check it out on Google maps street view. The food is superb and the staff friendly.. don't let them fob you off with a sub standard room if you have a buy a gift voucher or something similar. We booked just after viewing the hotel to see what rooms were available there we loads !!!!! Yet when we rang they only had family rooms or twin rooms available... joke !!!!!

Not the poshest place. Clean enough, very nice entrance, but we are our meal with people at the next table swearing loudly, clearly feeling no pain. Good location. Nice view of the bridge in the breakfast room. We've stayed twice. Probably won't go back.

This was a return complimentary stay after what could only be described as a disastrous stay in August last year. We had three rooms booked one double and two twin two rooms had been upgraded to signature suits while two of our party were given a standard twin??? The room I stayed in a suit one of their premium ones had fraied carpets a furniture had trim missing chipped cups and house keeping must of had their eyes closed while cleaning as the carpets were full of bits the room vaises were thick of dust the net curtains were filthy and to top it off we had an infestation of ladybirds. We did have a lovely meal in the bistro in the evening but unfortunately the same cannot be said for breakfast which was chaos not enough staff raw bacon and sausages egg freshly brought out but were stone cold !! I asked for some fresh eggs and was informed that the chef was having a melt down and refusing to make more food the manager was ready to cry so all we got was stail pasties and yogurt (Not good). This stay was an apology for the debacle but unfortunately it was just as bad. Sorry but NEVER EVER AGAIN. Save your money and go to a Premier Inn.
