Nice hotel. There is a large public country area with a pond/lake right next to the hotel. You can hop over the very low fence to access it. Pleasant to walk through for an hour with the local dog walkers. Breakfast have the eggs Florentine or the kippers as both first class. The actual breakfast room may move from day to day. In the summer have it on the terrace outside

The rooms were cozy and enjoyable, although showed their age slightly through the decor. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The dining experience was however not up to scratch with the grandness of the venue and its grounds, slow service of small portions that lacked flavour and excitement. In summary: would stay there again but would not dine there.

Arrived late but very helpful staff and a wonderful 4 poster bed. Quiet location and lovely views in the morning with a perfectly cooked breakfast

A typically quaint English Manor House so the rooms are quite dark but cosy. Rooms are decorated and furnished in a typical English country home style. Clean and comfortable. Staff very good. Restaurant serves a wide variety of well cooked and well presented dishes.
