We were visiting Brighton over the Christmas period and needed to do some urgent banking concerning the sale of a property. Unfortunately, it was at that moment that the computer system decided to go down. The staff though were all excellent, very, very helpful and persevered in getting the transaction processed. Also suggested that my husband could come inside with our little dog while all of this was going on. Thank you.

Really friendly and helpful staff, plenty of machines to pay in/withdraw money. The queue isn't usually too long either if you're doing something more complicated. All on one level so fully accessible to all. Well laid out and we'll designed branch.
Halifax is pretty good and reliable anyway but the staff there are exceptional to the other Halifax's I have been to! Bank floor is very accessible and the wait is not usually very long. Cheque/cash machines are a bit temperamental sometimes.
Absolutely fantastic service.!!! I was seen by Ms. Sharmin. She addressed all of my concerns about the products and services offered. She went above and beyond. She is extremely professional and most of all knowledgeable in all areas. Ms. Sharmin is "Huge Asset" to Halifax Brighton Branch. Thank you so much for assisting me and making my experience a positive one.
19 June 2018: Not fair, really, to give only 3 stars but.... I GMapped it, walked a lot, found it - and it was closed for refurbishment!! The next nearest branch was in Hove - a hot mile's walk away. It's probably a very nice branch so don't take the 3 stars too literally.
The staff are friendly and helpful but there are not enough paying in machines and the one singular machine only seems to want to take about 3 notes off you before it spits them back out at you and you end up having to wait for an actual cashier!
I called into the Western Road branch in Brighton and found after refurb the number of till points reduced to just 2 .The assistant at till point one could not have been more disinterested if she had been asleep.My query about online banking was met with a response which made me feel as though I was asking a mensa question.The only thing she didnt do was actually roll her eyes and yawn.Accounts I have with you and my hard earned cash will be swiftly moved, which is not an inconsiderable amount.I am not easily offended but on this occasion disinterested Halifax assistant you where needlessly offensive...byebye Halifax.
My first bank account opened with them when many of other banks couldn’t help me to open because of my recent address! The staffs were polite and helpful
Don’t seem to have many staff to help and can’t book an appointment to open an account. Plenty of machines to pay money in though.
