Totally inefficient. Found local branch no. for info and was held online for over 20minutes - which I was paying for. The when connected was put through to a CALL CENTRE which I did not want - asked them to get local branch to call me back - I have now waited in over 30minutes with no call. My time and effort is as expensive as theirs - but I do not remember Halifax not charging for their time. When I call HMRC or Dept. of Works and Pensions I expect to wait because they are National Nos. - but not when ringing small branches - I have been taught that all calls should be answered in 6 rings. If the Halifax cannot get its act together it's another reason for the banking business being in turmoil. BRYAN MORRIS - UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER
