This is the most depressing bank I have ever been in to. It is wallpapered by an army of 'do it yourself' machines and the feeling of which i can only liken to when your favourite transformer reaches it's end. Your are greeted with an IPad rather than a handshake. Is this the future of customer service? I really hope not!

Surprisingly, this is a good branch. Like 99.9% of the UK population, I find bankers rather distasteful as a breed but have to confess that the staff here are generally competent, friendly and helpful. The branch is spacious and seating is available. Gets busy on Saturdays but waiting times are usually 'reasonable', even for a grumpy old sod like me. Beware the 'account management' machines inside the branch though, my card was retained once for no apparent reason and I had to kick up a fuss to get it back immediately. The local County Court is upstairs - may be handy to know if you are owed money!
