Only given 1 star because 0 isn’t an option- I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service, care, and compassion shown to my father-in-law yesterday when he visited the branch to enquire about his mobile banking. The staff clearly lack any kind of proper training, and the customer service advisor, Adam, is in dire need of dismissal. Adam treated my father-in-law, an older gentleman, as if he were a piece of dirt on his shoe. He made him feel insignificant and small, showing not one bit of understanding or compassion. I can't help but wonder if Adam would speak or treat someone his own age in the same disgraceful manner. Halifax, it's evident that serious staff training is urgently required. Moreover, our complaints need to be taken seriously. No one should have to endure such disrespect and mistreatment, especially not from a service meant to assist and support its customers. I strongly suggest you watch your CCTV back of the time my father-in-law was in your branch and see for yourself how poorly he was treated by Adam.
Only one person on the counter Monday morning handling large cash deposits gbp and foreign and multiple people queuing to do so. One person dealing with cash in the centre of a large commercial city. Told ‘we don’t accept foreign currency’ Yes you do if I bought it from you.
Liverpool have the worst staff in all there Halifax branches. Honestly no manners, no concept of friendly interaction. It's like your annoying them coming to do banking. Staff like this will add to all robot's taking over there job's.
Always a long queue & staff very unpleasant, attitude is awful. I’ll change all my banking now away from them! Nationwide are so much better.
We went in to enquire about changing a single current account into a joint. The lady was adamant it could not be done, even though I told her the Halifax website said differently. She asked her rude manager who confirmed what she said and wouldn't give us any eye contact, before he rushed off again. I suggested we look somewhere else to Bank and she agreed! The next day Halifax Wallasey confirmed it was possible and had us booked in to get it sorted. Up your game Halifax Liverpool, giving false advice to customers, no eye contact and suggesting banking elsewhere is pretty poor.
No staff. You're lucky if there's ever more than one person on the tills and front desk. The staff are friendly enough but are always milling around telling you to use machines or online banking but other than that you're snookered if you want help. Waited in a queue for 25 minutes and when I finally got to the front of the queue the sole member of staff on the tills logged off to go on a break. I don't blame her because she'd probably been stuck on her own all morning. Personally I'd say the blame lies at the feet of the manager because every other Halifax branch in Merseyside is well staffed and well organised.
Very unprofessional staff. I was in the enquiry queue yesterday and the young woman on the desk was explaining something to a potential customer whose first language was not English. As she was speaking, another young woman staff member interrupted saying "I told you all this last time you came in!" in a loud and hostile manner. The customer seemed embarrassed and distressed and wanted to leave quickly. As she took her ID back the first woman said "Rude!" as loudly and aggressively as her colleague. They then ignored me and my daughter to gossip nastily about the other customer. My daughter & I were very relieved when a different young man told us that we could apply online for her bank account. No way! I wouldn't want my daughter to be attended to by staff like this. Oh, the other customer was a young Muslim girl. Coincidence??
Was told I handed in less cash at the counter after asking the clerk, I know the machine counts notes, but stll! I also still am appalled that whilst living in the city centre, my bank card couldn't be send to the branch, leaving me endlessly withdrawing cash. Not too mention countless security blocks and freezes on my card, making it impossible for me to go about my business, pay for accomodation, travel & eat!
Some of the rudest people I have ever encountered at this branch. One of the more senior members of staff with curly blonde-ish hair is beyond condescending. Customer service training would not go amiss! The opening hours are also ridiculous. I am a key worker 9-6 Monday to Friday and had to take a morning off just to come in to the bank. Cutting your opening hours and days will only mean the same amount of people are trying to access services in a shorter space of time - how does that help in a pandemic?
This branch is the worst & the staff are rude, I tried to pay money in at the counter as there was no one waiting but oh no miss high & mighty made me queue behind 3 people & wait 10 mins when there was still no one at the counter, I was late for my appointment, they are getting paid for doing nothing customer service is non existant
