Friendly customer service... however, too slow, too many kids joking and hanging out together rather than customer focused, not enough people with product knowledge and sincere service. The girl on the tills was brilliant, but when I wanted to exchange an item, it took about half an hour to give her authorisation to perform the exchange by the management because no senior staff were around. I believe there should have been a balance between younger and senior staff in the store so the younger once are guided and for the store not to look and feel like it's a young peolles hangout... it's not a funfair or a tourist attraction where smiles are enough, in a place like halfords you need people with knowledge, experience and sincerity.. a little disappointing!
On a miserable wet cold day I was pleased by the honest and straightforward way I have been told that there was unfortunately two people waiting for the fitting to their cars and did I mind waiting, when my turn arrived I was dealt with by Harry D... 0724 a very friendly and helpful young chap, who when he was working kept me informed at all times even getting the correct bulbs for me. Today started with an unexpected problem and finished with a 5star service. I just hope with the amount of people being dealt with, that it doesn't lead to a parking fine as I may have unavoidably gone over the allowed 30 minutes. 0
Great experience at the Chatham branch this evening! A lovely fitter guy totally sorted out my newly smashed wing mirror and now it’s even better than before! Great service, reasonable price. Thanks so much!
It is very rare that I would post a review after only spending £5, but I just have to report the superb service I received at Halfords Chatham this afternoon Sat 22nd Oct. All three of the staff I dealt with were courteous, knowledgeable and fun. Wonderful experience. I hope it can be fed back to them!
I just walked into the store to spend about £500, and not once did anyone approach me! I was stood around the stereo and speaker section for easily 10 minutes and even walked up to two ladies just stood gossiping and they didn’t so much as turn around. Nobody said hi or anything, so in the end I decided I didn’t want to spend my money in this store as I’ve received the same experience before but thought I’d give them another chance. Never again. Atrocious service.
Kevin was a great help, my bike need work where it need a service as another shop messed it up, he help bleed my breaks and changed pad plus updated bike it was not updated well. Now all fix and better then it was before im so happy can't wait for my 30 mile ride.
I enquired online about a Apple car play radio for my Galaxy - was told that the one I chose would fit so went instore to order and pay for it. They tapped my registration into their computer, confirmed it will fit and told me the parts would be in in about 2 days. After a couple of days of waiting and hearing nothing I called the branch number - only to be put through to a central call centre. Took a while but they put me through to the branch who tapped away and said it would be another week. After the week I went in store and arranged for the radio to be fitted - which was another week later. Dropped the car off this morning and went off to have breakfast as they said it would take about and hour and a half. After half an hour I got a call to say they couldn't do it as it wasn't actually compatible with my car. The whole experience has been a complete waste of my time and energy. Halfords need to update their computer systems - or at least look at the stereo the customer has before taking any money. They also need to keep on top of keeping their customers informed of order progress. All very lapsy daisy in my opinion.
Lizzie was absolutely brilliant, she is a credit to Halfords & went above & beyond to help me. She’s so knowledgeable about everything & resolved my problem with my windscreen wipers after I was told by Joe that the wipers I’d originally bought wouldn’t fit & I’d have to get some from Mercedes. After telling Lizzie what was wrong, she rectified it & she got the right wipers & fitted them & was also serving other customers. Can’t recommend Lizzie enough, if it wasn’t for her, Halfords would have lost a sale & a customer. The 5 stars are for Lizzie & her great service. Thank you Lizzie

Halfords bulb fitting service efficient and quick. Why fit yourself when they will do it for you for a nominal charge. Recommended
