Pretty annoyed today, booked my car in yesterday for two new tyres to be fitted on Friday, paid for them in full and had slot confirmation. Thursday, I get a phone call saying not only do they not have the tyres I’ve paid for but they also don’t have any fitting slots until the middle of next week. Obviously I cancel although pretty annoyed I have to wait 3-5days for my £250 to be refunded and find somewhere else, two minutes on Google and I have a same day tyre fitting slot for very similar tyres at National Tyres and Autocentres who are strangely owned by Halfords. My tyres were successfully fitted by the lovely guys at National in under 30mins. Roll on to this evening where is receive my invoice etc from National entirely branded with Halfords logos! Surely there must be a way that two garages; less than 3 miles from each, other both owned by the same people, using the same systems, could have simply transferred my booking and payment without me doing all the leg work! This would have avoided a lot of stress and having to pay out twice in 48 hours! Next time I’ll just go straight to National as the service was so much faster!
Booked an MOT online and had to change the date. Arrived 10 minutes early as per my email and was told my slot was at 1030 not 11am as stated in my confirmation email ! I was offered another date which I have accepted but disappointed that halfords mistake on my email was my fault.

Great trustworthy service. Called up, the manager fitted me last minute due to a cancellation,diagnosed the issue with my campervan, explained what they would do to fix it and gave me a full report afterwards. The technician was also very helpful and l felt l could trust my vehicle with the team at the centre plus the charge was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Really poor experience. They damaged my vehicle I was notified initially, didn't include that detail in the health report until I specifically requested. I was then told I would be contacted for specialist alloy repair within a week, over two months and have heard nothing.
Great service from Michael for my car’s MoT. Even though it failed and there was a painful process to navigate between the leasing company and the manufacturer to get repairs approved and the right part, he did it quickly and slickly so it was all done in about half a day. We had trouble paying by card over the phone, a procedure which required us to key in our card number, expiry date and CVV but we could not make this work. On reflection this may have been due to a problem with my iPhone which I am investigating. The car was returned with an empty fuel tank and we did not discover this until the following morning. I think the driver could have drawn attention to this since the delay due to filling up with petrol made me late for my appointment. The email confirming my appointment did not give a booking reference or confirm the time and date of my appointment. Someone called Chloe responded to my Trust Pilot review about this problem and invited me to contact Chloe about this issue. Chloe did not suggest a means for contacting her. This is the second time we have had this problem with Chloe which suggests time needs to be invested in the training of those who are charged with responding to reviews. Having said all this our MOT and service were efficiently and cheaply performed and Simon at Halford’s garage in Winchester was endlessly patient in sorting our payment problem. Well done Simon!
Really professional service shown to me by the guys at Halfords Autocentre Winchester. Had a major clutch related issue with the car as well as a weak starter motor so was really worried if they could actually fix it, but they turned it around and did a fantastic job. Particular thanks to the manager Simon, who went above and beyond to keep in contact throughout, politely explain the work and finances involved, kept me informed of lead times and even made sure the battery was charged before collection. Great Job!
I have used these guys several times over the years & returned this week to have my MOT done. They got me booked in quickly & much cheaper than if I’d gone to BMW. I was once again very impressed with their service, particularly Simon who was very helpful & approachable. He kept me well informed & they even pumped up my tyres for me as a favour! I will definitely use them again.
