The service was very good. Friendly staff. Dentist with a good bedside manner. Didn't have to wait for appointment. And even though my appointment was originally scheduled a month down the line, they managed to find me an opening more quickly when someone cancelled, which I really appreciated. The only thing I would say is that they are a busy practice, and being a private practice, services are quite expensive.

Half Moon Dental Practice was recommended to us (by several people)some years ago. Since then we have had check ups, fillings and crowns; all have been carried out thoroughly, almost pain free and with terrific results. The staff are friendly, sympathetic, very helpful (especially in an emergency) and there is no pressure to have unnecessary work, as occurs in many other practices. Discussion of and agreement to a treatment plan ensures there are no shocks about the cost either. We now spend much of our time in Cornwall but still travel to Half Moon to get our teeth done by Daniel. Very highly recommended.

Well what can I say, other than Rude! I popped into this dentist recently to see about booking an appointment as a new private patient. I expressed my interest to the dis-interested receptionist who told me to book online. I left feeling somewhat slightly out of place. I decided it was probably just one of those things, I few weeks later I thought I’d try and register online and give them a chance. All good, until booking an appointment. When they demand up front Money for an appointment. I phoned the dentist reception to ask if this was correct and I was informed by a very curt receptionist that basically tough! You gotta pay. I also requested the possibility of having my teeth cleaned at the same time. To which again I was told not for over four weeks and it’s money up front again. I must say that throughout this conversation, I was not shown any customer warmth, nor any sense they value new patients. I informed the receptionist that I will be looking elsewhere for a dentist. To which she said fine and hung up. Sooooooo half moon dentistry, if this is your policy and values you can keep it! A little lesson in customer relations could help!

They seem to be very reluctant to gain new private patients! Despite reading other negative reviews on here about the quality of service, I decided I'd give them a chance, ad it's a convenient location. I was expected to pay up front £120 over the phone in order to book appointment....If the receptionist had been even remotely friendly, I might have given this surgery a chance and done so! Will look elsewhere now.

Went here for a checkup, was told I needed 7 fillings. I was doubtful since I take good care of my teeth, went to another dentist and was told that I actually only need 1. Can only assume that they want to fill as many teeth as possible to get the money out of patients, disappointing for a practice that markets itself as friendly and transparent. One of the receptionists is also quite rude and dismissive. Giving 2 stars because I had an efficient and informative hygienist appointment, but I would not go back to this practice.
