I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years and have always had good experiences. The treatments have been pain-free and I have always been treated with kindness, honesty and respect by Mr Ho and his assistants, who always remain employed by him for several years at a time - a good sign, in my view. Thank you Waterloo Dental Surgery.
The worst place ever to fix or treat your teeth, they never open on time there opening hours is 9 to 5 but the earliest they open is 11 am receptionist have no clue what they doing, if you have appointment at 9 or 9.30 be prepared to wait at keast 2 hours before its open all they are worried about is how much you pay. If it was up to me a big 0000000000000000
I have to leave praise for what was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had if there is such a thing. I had root canal done here by Dr Ho in the early 2000’s and then a crown fitted by another dentist about 6 years ago. Well the crown recently fell out along with much of the existing tooth so there wasn’t a huge amount to work with. From start to finish, Dr Ho realistically, talked me through all of the options and challenges I faced for what was quite a complicated procedure. I opted to go for a filling that needed a number of screws first to provide support. The procedure was a huge success and I am so grateful for his time reassurance and amazing service. Huge shout out also do his utterly delightful hygienist I didn’t get her name. Practices like this are a dying breed and I’m so grateful that they are within our community. Thank you again guys.
Dr Ho, is a highly experienced, very good and reliable dentist. I had to visit him today and after doing a very thorough check of all my teeth, he explained what procedures would be necessary and he explained the pros and cons of various options. He listened to my questions and actually listened to me. His technique for administering the anaesthetic was painless that is the mark of an experienced and caring dentist he knows how to give a comfortable injection. I felt at ease for my visit. He is a good person in my opinion.
Worst dentist. Told me I’m not feeling any pain when he stuck my cavities and thin enamel and refused to work on my teeth because my mouth is too sensitive. He was very disrespectful and did not listen to anything I said. He’s not a nice man and has a disgusting attitude. Receptionist never picks up the phone. Doesn’t want to work with nhs patients and prejudice towards them. Completely wasted my time. I would go elsewhere.
Both dentist and receptionist are absolutely lovely, and are the most accommodating people you can come across. They managed to schedule my wisdom tooth removal on the NHS within a month of having a check-up with them something I'd been struggling to do for years through other practices. Will be using this as my regular moving forward without a doubt - would highly recommend
I've been there several times now and I've always been treated well, especially by the receptionist! She is an asset to that dental surgery! Very kind and thoughtful. Ok, so it takes a little while to warm up to the dentist, but he is quite nice once you get a conversation going with him.
TERRIBLE dental surgery! Myself and my daughter are NHS patients. Dr Ho is a very unfriendly dentist. My first visit at the surgery was very unpleasant as he has no patience. At the time my daughter was approaching 2 years old, she had a full mouth of teeth, so I saw it fit to take her for her first dental appointment. I asked the dentist a few questions about how to encourage her to let me brush her teeth as I could see her positive attitude towards brushing her teeth was beginning to change. He was very blunt, belittling, snappy and uninformative with his answers. After the appointment he told me to not return to the dentist with my daughter until she is able to brush her teeth herself. On another occasion I had visited the dentist to have a general check up and on this appointment, he was still very uninformative and rude. I explained to him that my gums were sore due to the fact that I had braces on. He did not care at all and carried on cleaning my teeth very roughly. I had to ask him to stop as the pain was becoming unbearable and his response was 'do you want your teeth to be clean or not?' I have always been happy to go to the dentist as I have kept up with regular dental appointments since I was a little girl but after being a patient at this dentist I now see why grown adults are terrified of going to the dentist. I have now found a new dentist for my daughter and I to attend as I want to give her pleasant dental experiences. AVOID! Rude, pricey, impatient!
Visited recently for a check up, was told i needed a filling, the tooth was on my smile line, but I was told that if I wanted a white filling it would not be covered on the NHS and told me it would be £160 privately. I visited a different dentist, who said as it was on my smile line it would be covered on the NHS as a white filling. Dr Ho was clearly just trying to make a bit of extra money from a private appointment. The check up I had was not very pleasant anyway as he is not a very friendly dentist, I felt very uncomfortable. Not happy at all and will not be returning.
Horrible place. Unprofessional staff. I kept ringing several days to book an appointment and no one bothered to answer. I would give zero stars if I could.
