Fabulous place, Jeff and all the staff make everyone so welcome and work so hard to make Hales Hall such a clean and family friendly place. Perfect for weekends away. The chef cooks amazing food which is well priced and simply delicious! Events held are enjoyable and with such a lovely atmosphere. I love this place!
We visited Hales Hall for the first time on Sunday morning for breakfast on recommendation of family members. The Hall itself was amazing in a lovely countryside spot and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I had the small breakfast which was completely adequate for myself and I can honestly say was the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. The staff were lovely and the price was really good. I shall definitely be back for another breakfast and maybe to try an evening meal. Thank you.
Me, my husband and 4 year old have just had a great stay here over the bank holiday. Our evening meal at the Grosvenor was second to none, the staff are so lovely and friendly. The staff on the campsite were also friendly and very hardworking. Toilet and shower block were kept clean obviously a bit wet and grassy during peak times but soon cleaned, showers were hot but not great, but who cares we were camping! We will definitely be returning! X
This is a great place if you want to chill, if you have children that ride bikes, play ball games etc. There is a good little play area for young children up to the age of 8ish. Lovely views, tidy park. The hall looks fab, especially lit up at night! I would recommend if you don't want to do anything but off site there is loads to do, Alton Towers is 10 minutes away and there are shops, pubs, takeaways all 5 minutes drive
Went for dinner here recently on our way back from Alton towers, we were staying in leek but looking for something different. 9 people had dinner, the food was very good and the service was great. The kids played football outside and played in the playground before dinner. Parents and kids were all happy. Bathrooms were also spotless
Just come home from a weekend camping. We was pitched by the lake with beautiful scenery surrounding us. Neighbors was a little noisy a big group based all over the Fields so they was constantly coming back and forth walking on our pitch. We noticed that 8/10 children was unattended by the lake throwing stones at the ducks and fish for the fun of it kicking a shed by the trees with the intent of breaking things. We felt like we was constantly baby sitting children as parents nowhere in sight and a kid under 1 playing on his trike next to the water. Aside from that the site is beautiful. staff are very friendly. Food is good at the restaurant on site reasonably priced please bring the Mexican sharing platter back! Thats the best This was our second time staying at Hales hall and we will stay again just in the quieter months.
What a fantastic place. It was our first time and we where made to feel very welcome and relaxed. The staff are brilliant especially Cheryl she was fab. We will definitely be going back again and would highly recommend to all.
We stopped at Hales Hall for breakfast and thought the venue was lovely. The staff were great, the breakfast was tasty, the beer was cold and the views were amazing. They have live music on a sat night and a well stocked bar. I do recommend you book a table as although they of course do walk ins for us on Sunday morning it was very busy which of course is a great sign of great food.
I'd say this an incredible interesting place to stay and visit. Beautiful countryside view wildlife about and a remarkable Hall being restored. We booked this place last minute as we overlooked finding a place. Any we called to say we would be arriving well after the reception closed at 6.00pm . The owner said he would be available to book us in just let him know just 30mins before arriving. And so he was showed us our camp spot with electric hookup and we were happy. Breakfast was spot on delicious and cooked to order. The only disappointment was our last day came back from Alton Towers and they gave our spot away so we ended up on the grass. Not a happy bunny since I told the staff that we would be back late Tuesday evening. Called the owner but not much could be done. This what happens when your staff don't pay attention. So be aware folks incase it may happen to you.
We have just had 5 nights at Hale Hall, the site is beautiful and well kept . The staff are very friendly and eager to help . We have a couple of issues that let the site down, the first is the shower facilities, they are in desperate need of updating . We also ate twice in the lovely restaurant, the food was really good and very good value for money, but the service let it down, very friendly staff but very slow in clearing away our plates and asking if we needed anything else or more drinks.
